I hope no one thinks I'm letting the fans down. But 13 years out on the road trying to scratch an existence took its toll in the end on both my health, wealth and happiness.
Yes I will be moving down to Gloucester in due course.Janie Watkins

ive been banned for a month so i couldn't really tell janie how much she was missed last weekend at the PTC Event.
Global Snooker has gone in to meltdown without her so it shows to me how much they were relying on just 1 person to keep the ship afloat whitch it should never have been the case for a site that was considered the best snooker site.
if they were relying on janie that much who can blame her going.
Good Luck in your new Job hope you be very happy :snooker:

I think Visionaire and Souwester [http://www.thesnookerforum.com/board...ad.php?t=26145 ] are right, things started to look less than perfect about 18 months ago. I’m sorry, I know computer wizards will see this as progress-skepticism if not downright blasphemy, but I still believe in the good old common-sensical if it ain’t broke don’t fix it so I didn’t like the changes done to the site especially as far as drawsheets were concerned. (I stopped using them, made my own old-fashiond tables ) The way I see it, the site had been simple and very, very user-friendly and it’s become more sophisticated without any practical gain coming out of this sophistication. Maybe it was not modernization just for modernization’s sake but I didn’t like it anyway. And yet the essential info was there and updates were still better and more trustworthy than anywhere else on the www. It wasn’t exactly Janie’s site anymore but it was still her show. A show performed with maybe a little less brilliance than before so not really jumping to conclusions but it became clear that Janie was not happy.
OK, let’s say there were disagreements but what’s the matter with those guys on the site?! Don’t they see fans’ reaction? Don’t they understand that at the moment nobody loves them? The whole home page should have been filled up with “Thanks, Janie!” and “Good luck, Janie!” and they don’t even issue a statement?!.... Unbelievable!
But of course, Janie is not there anymore to put it in writing....Winner of the 2009 UK Championship Lucky Dip

For all those wondering, here is the latest news from Global Snooker:
Global–snooker.com has teamed up with On Q Promotions to continue to provide up to the minute content of relevant snooker tournaments, including the new PTC events from Sheffield and the EPTC events in due course.
Paul Mount, Managing Director of On Q Promotions said, “I am delighted to be working with Global-snooker.com. It is an extremely valuable resource for the game, treasured by many snooker enthusiasts, and I’m pleased that we have found a way forward that suits everyone involved”.
On Q Promotions has rapidly established itself as the one of the largest player management stables in the game, looking after 17 professional players from the £2m South West Snooker Academy on the outskirts of Gloucester.
Global-snooker’s Neil Tomkins agreed with Mount’s statement, adding “It makes sense in today’s economic climate to pool resources where possible, and this collaboration makes perfect sense to both of our organisations”.www.onqpromotions.co.uk
