He has never had the best temperament, but I think he's starting to fall out of love with the game. I wouldn't be suprised that if he starts losing in the Premier League, that he withdraws.

The number of syllables Ronnie O’Sullivan opens his mouth for is totally irrelevant to me. For everybody’s good, the fewer the better. The question is: has he or hasn’t he pulled out of the Shanghai event?Winner of the 2009 UK Championship Lucky Dip
Co-winner of Spike’s 2009 UK Championship number of centuries prediction contest

I do agree that players should be able to play in whichever tournaments they want - and they can! Any player is free to pull out of any tournament.
However, unlike a sport like tennis, the qualifiers in snooker take place a few weeks before.
In a tennis tournament, a late scratch will be filled by another player.
In snooker, a late scratch just leaves a hole in the tournament - a hole that coud have been filled by another pro, if the player had pulled out before the qualifiers.
So, in my opinion, pulling out of the tournament so late, needs justification.
This isn't specifically aimed at Ronnie, as this might be genuine this week, but in answer to the view some have that Ronnie should be able to play in whichever events he wants.

why not give his place to Daniel Wells the highest non tour player on the PTC Order of Merit to Play Tian Pengfei and Burnett Through to the Last 32.

It becomes really tiring to see Ronnie pulling out of the very same tournament almost every year...and always with a lame excuse. And please, don't talk about a bad back....If he really had that, he wouldn't have played in the PL. And if it's a personal issue, then why this 'personal issue' always happens when about to fly to China?
Lame...
It's a shmae because the game NEEDS him, especially at the stage where snooker is now.Ton Praram III Series 1 | 58" 18.4oz 9.4mm | ash shaft + 4 splices of Brazilian Rosewood | Grand Cue medium tips
