It doesn't need reviewing, it needs changing straight away IMO. Not only that, after the success of the streaming in Gloucester, it would be great to watch some qualifiers. I'm sure anyone interested would be willing to pay a couple of quid to watch a game.

Pro Snooker should never ever be played in cubicles with no one allowed in.

according to Snooker Scene the Rights to show Qualifiers is in the hands of 110 Sport and unless they sell them theres not a lot Barry can do at the Moment

Snooker needs to move out of the UK, the PTC's are the perfect opportunity for this. Let's just drop the Welsh Open alltogether and move the World Open to a more global location.

Nobody watches the Welsh Open (not live anyway), so better drop it and give the airtime to a new, international tournament. Plus Brittain has the vast majority of tournaments anyway while audience figures are dropping, so it's the wrong market to pursue.

that is so not true have you been there i suggest you haven't well ive been and i can tell you when ive been its been packed out id even suggest more attend the Welsh than go to the UK in Telford.

As jonesy said, it's good attendances at the welsh, no worse than some anyways...

Some of the earlier rounds in china (and other places) were dead as in attendance iirc, similar with a few tourneys...the welsh defo ain't that poor in attendance.


I went to a few welsh open matches this year and the atmosphere/crowd was great.

The problem with the Welsh Open is that Newport is such a s*** hole. It's not really the sort of place to attract visitors, even if it is just over the bridge. If they moved it back to Cardiff it might get better numbers.

I think the new ranking event in Asia will be held in Thailand or India.
And the other one............I hope in East Europe,especially Austria and Romania.
