Heavily edited video.
Jesus Christ.
Can we make it a rule in the forum that this crap should be limited to a single thread or something!? Rather than every thread that mentions John Higgins. That will get pretty tiresome.
Have any of you ever seen Uri Geller bending spoons on TV? Now, those appearances weren't even edited...

I also don’t see you complaining about those people who took their time talking about smashing the reds in this very topic. That is as on-topic as is what I said.
Yes, it’s pointless to talk about so many things about snooker, but still people do it all the time.
Talking about the bribe scandal doesn’t change anything, and I already agreed before that Higgins is untouchable now, so why worry so much about what is said about it, and why the use of dirty tactics to silence those who want to talk about it?
AND
I'm sorry about the personal insult I made, I got carried away and it was out of order. I apologize.
Anyway, as I said I've got no problem if people talk about Higgins but do it in a thread where it belongs. This thread is becoming an umpteenth Higgins match fixing-thread. That's makes it easier for people to avoid reading it if they don't want to read it. Peace!

it's funny how people gets so completely brainwashed by the media so easily, there was no evidence that John rang to bet against himself, the story was written because some employee/ex-employee of a betting company came out to talk because this lady think she recalled getting a call from someone some years back who she reckon is Higgins himself, would this even stand up as any kind of evidence in any court of law? Now you have people that concludes that it really happened......

I’ll try not to talk so much about it in the future, but it’s very hard to do it when you read people saying that you can’t believe the video, when Higgins never denied any of it, admitted to have done exactly what we saw on the video and was sanctioned for it.
No, no match was fixed and no money exchanged hands, and they found no evidence of premeditation on his behalf, that’s probably why the tribunal couldn’t nail him with a heavier punishment, like they did with Mooney, who was found to have prior knowledge.
The justice may be powerless in these situations, but the public opinion is not. The verdict is there for all to read, and the video is there for all to see, all genuine and undeniable pieces of evidence. That’s all you need to look at to know what happened. Everything else is BS.
It’s plain to me that the former #1 was agreeing to fix the results of snooker matches and that in my eyes makes him a corrupt and his presence in the tour, every time he shows up for some reason, is for me a constant reminder that maybe, just maybe, the whole game is corrupt to the core, and that is very hard for me to take.
And this is my last post in this thread.2008-09 Prediction Champion

Its only unethical if they throw the match and they that wouldn't happen in the final of the wc, its more profitable early on against a rank outsider. Players have quite openly spoke about this (including the great JW) long before Higgins crimes, somebody has jus dug this up as it seems relative and seems to incriminate him further, this is probably another reason why this never even featured in his punishment.
anyone found betting on themselves to loose in future will be dealt with and rightly so ...... personally id throw them out of the sport without a second thought.
