Does he want to play any tournament outside UK?
To me, it's not really a surprise.

As long as it's Far East, he's definitely not enjoying the overseas events.
But I remember reading somewhere that he always admired the potential of crowds in Europe, and now he withdraws

Perhaps, he's really trying to make up for the lost years with his father. And if that's the case, I wouldn't blame him.

And in the article, it's suggested that he wants to take a break. It could very well happen..

Really don't know what's in his mind and how he thinks
I believe this can still be a good tournament without O'Sullivan.

I feel for the people who bought tickets for the match against Dale....hope they'll be refunded properly!

I really do feel its time that Ronnie packed up. His heart for professional tournament play just doesn't look up for the challenge anymore. His ranking is already down to 8th and a lack of competitive match snooker is going to damage him if he doesn't compete regularly.

I feel sorry for Hearn a bit too. He's trying hard to make snooker big again, giving the players more tournaments, trying to take it to new countries and this is how he thanked.
Its no good hitting Ronnie in the pocket either because of no show. He needs to be suspended for the remainder of the season, after all Higgins was taught a harsh lesson and he has come back hungry so I'd like to see if Ronnie really does have the passion for the pro game. His performances this season haven't been worth mentioning anyway, he through away the UK against King, never turned up at the Masters so what big deal if he were to be suspended for the remainder of the season. At least he'll have the time to think about whether he wants to be a part of snooker at professional level, its not fair on the other players if he continues to be given preferential treatment.

Shame. I always looked forward to watching Ronnie.

He looked really sharp in the few frames i saw him in that shoot out
