Oh yes, O'sullivan, Trump, Williams, White are wonderful to watch but Higgins is the one I would like to place my bet on.

Hann made no effort to defend himself whatsoever - Higgins did and was vindicated. If it was so clear cut why haven';t the NOTW had a headline complaining about his exoneration?

I like fast exciting players but also consistent winners, its all good Snooker.

Is not consistency the harder to maintain?

It has been a wonderful season...except the end of it. So not right that Higgins won, really sad!

In retrospect, the game seems to be in a better state now than just prior to the NOTW farce. So all these claims that Higgins has ruined professional snooker can safely be kicked into the sand. The only big loser in this sorry affair is Higgins himself, a shame really since he's a great player and seems like a nice guy.

Fair point. The clash between styles makes it even more dramatic like this year's final.
I saw that going differently in my mind

i couldnt agree more he should of had all his points taken off him and be made to play in the qualifiers from scratch .

anyone else notice that higgins was one of the few (or maybe only?) player at this years championship without a sponsor logo on his waistcoat (not counting the compulsory Betfred logo)?
can't think of any other top ranked sportsman in this position to be honest. He's either scared off potential backers with last years scandal or maybe just doesn't need the extra money....

If it's of any consolation to you, the outcome would be the same.

For me its a disgrace that he's even been allowed to play again let alone win the World Championship, So lets get this straight he received a 6 month Ban for 'not coming forward about a match fixing incident' then Mr Corrupt Barry Hearn orders a Bogus investigation that finds John Higgins not guilty of match fixing just guilty for not declaring the incident, so he didn't declare because he thought he wouldn't get caught, Can anyone else see the glaring contradiction here he was involved in it & doesn't declare it, then gets caught then its found out that he wasn't going to do it anyway, its pure BS it doesn't make sense and makes me sick.

I was working for a national newspaper in London the week of the hearing , nobody there could believe that he was cleared, If talking about how best to spirit illegal betting money away, via his oversees property portfolio that statement had been thaught through , that is NOT a random statement
[ Also if im correct, he represented himself ,versus three arbitration barristers !!!, you are as guilty conspiring to do a deed, as to have committed the said deed . His quote " he has never thrown a game in his life " but it appears he was going to ... and didn't his manager quit sharpish ? . No sponsorship , on his waistcoat, and our local club cancelled him from an exhibition match, seems the public at large are not daft .
