I've got a Salisbury and its a lovely looking and playing cue but I've seen a very mixed bag in terms of quality in Peradon cues. Some really ugly looking shafts (I know looks aren't everything..) and also some very indifferent quality of finish

Some pics but will try to get better light then u can really see there a filled dent in shaft 2 the shaft is missing black finish all up 1 side n rag smear marks n in some places no black at all 3 then there is a dip then a lump in the splice with a ruff bit. pit on the tip of the splice u can feel in your hand the shaft is not silky smooth n almost square in some spots

If its that bad, send it back for exchange or refund. Best advice is to see any cue before buying.

Soddit - have you contacted Peradon directly with what you have described here?

Sounds like Peradons QA process has gone to the dogs , either that or the process doesn't exist! These reports on Peradon seem to be voiced more often recently.

My mate Nick gave me a Peradon Precision one piece last night for me to take down from 9.5mm ferrule to 8.5mm for uk 8 ball which I did this afternoon. I must say I'm impressed by the quality, straight grained ash shaft, deep black ebony butt, no filler or paint, and nicely figured rosewood splice. Maybe it's a good one, don't know what it cost and I can't find the model on their website, could be a discontinued one, but on this evidence I would recomend one.
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

They were decent going back just a few years really, but things have changed a tad. Seen some nice cues from them in the past but feel the profit margin thing has kicked in due to quality Thai cue availability. Must be difficult to compete and be competitive price wise in the UK.

My first decent cue was a Peradon and Fletcher Royale - 2 piece with a wooden joint

Bought it from the Southampton depot back around 1982 !!!!!

The joint had a couple of nylon bushes to grip - lovely 17oz cue

I had it nicked from the back of my car about 20 years ago
