oh that's a shame, I tried to make the instructions as clear as possible

B&W tended to use names of people they had supplied to as brand names for their products. The use of "Norfolk" appears much earlier than 1954 so wasn't invented for this cue. It had previously been used for a style of billiard room armchair they were supplying in 1911 and then for a billiard-room bench in 1922. I wouldn't be surprised to find that they supplied something of the sort to the Duke of Norfolk at some point in the early 1900s. As they were no longer making this type of furniture after the war, I suspect it was just a case of the name becoming available again.

Pearwood shaft with palmira butt, palmira has a textured finish, like the grain in leather.

The pearwood cue arrived...it plays fantastic...the feel on the bridge hand..almost like it's not there, it's so smooth...very stiff and dense..it's got a slight kink near the tip end, which seems to be the curse of pear shafts to warp. The colour is very attractive.

Fruit woods tend to be very attractive and extremely strong.
