Is the cue craft Buxton a good cue?

  • #2
I have known several people with this cue and from what I've seen it's Ok for the price. I would recommend ,if buying it, that you re-finishing it though as the finish which comes as standard is horrendous. Hope that helped :snooker:

        In short

Remove all the varnish, sand smooth, raw linseed oil, buff, raw linseed oil, buff, raw linseed oil, buff.

If you are uncomfortable with these then get a cue maker to do it, its relatively cheap.

I think it's better to get something that was oil finished to start, even if it has to be a machine spliced cue. Craftsman have some fairly cheap machine spliced master cues with a nice finish.
