  • SnookerMate: Snooker Scoreboard app for Android

Hi, I'm new to this forum but have just made a snooker scoreboard app that tracks match and shot history. It's ad-free and free to use as it's a bit of a passion project.

I'm looking for any feedback or any feature requests. It has a traditional scoreboard option too that still tracks matches, frames and scores.

It can be found here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...okerscoreboard

    Cheers

Hi, welcome to the forum. Looks like a good app. I plan to give it a try and will get back to you with comments when I do.

I'll have to give it a go. I've been interested in finding an app/software that works out stats too so be interesting to see

Thanks, let me know if either of you have any feedback. I was thinking of splitting the button for ending your break into "safety" and "miss", so that you can accurately see your shot percentage and stuff. Just wasn't sure if that's getting a bit complex for what users would expect. I might add it into an advanced mode that can be toggled on and off in the settings.

For actually viewing your stats, I'm working on a stats screen that is filterable by things like date range, against certain players etc.

          All those ideas sound good.

Perhaps you could put your skills to creating an Android version of this Snooker Cue Action Trainer app (if such a thing is possible).

This is great! I had a go at using this the other day to double check a score on a game I recorded, where the score was disputed (opponent didn't think they'd moved the 20 pointer across!) and thankfully the score was correct (and they were trying - not cheating, just a bad memory - to get another 20 points which would have meant them not requiring snookers! LOL).

I did find though that it was quite easy to be entering scores for the wrong player particularly after a bout of safety... Perhaps an option to extra-highlight the current player (maybe change the screen background colour to be really obvious)?

looks great, I play with a mate who thinks 2+2=5 and only I get the run, luck and flukes, holds every game up if we are close as he really can`t count as he only has ten fingers

Haha it always happens. That's not a bad idea with the colours thanks. I'll add that in as something optional - setting a background colour that's linked to each player.

I don't think that'd be hard to make, I'm just not sure how much use a feature like that would get. Reckon it's something many people are after?

There's a thread on the Trainer App here https://www.thesnookerforum.co.uk/bo...ue-measure-app

with mixed comments. There are a lot more Android users than iPhone so there might be good demand for an Android equivalent.
