I can only see one picture with the butt logo and the joint collars of the shafts, one of which appears damaged.

Are there any more pictures? Is this Gauthier different from other Gauthier cues to justify the asking price of $2000, please?

I have bought a few Gauthier cues in the past--the cheapest one I got was for $300, with two custom Gauthier extensions; the most expensive one was for $400--a special made Gauthier with the white trophy style joint with black collars, 4 ebony points into ash, with a matching maple 9 ball shaft also made by Gauthier, and a case. It was hand signed by Gauthier.

I have been offered many Gauthier for about $450 both new and used in the past--they were mostly like the kind you always see, with cocobolo butterfly spliced points with a brownish micarta joint.

A friend paid recently $1000 for a 3/4 Gauthier cue. According to him, only 7 of those were ever made. It was ash with ebony points with a long extension also made by Gauthier. The shaft has evenly spaced chevrons running up both sides of the shaft.

      Thank you.

          Leonard:

According to Brad Grierson, Tom did qualify but later felt he couldn't afford the expense of coming to Toronto as he just recently switched jobs.

Re: Tom Gauthier Snooker Cue with 2 shafts for sale - 19 0z - 58 1/2" perfectly straight original shafts and tips, essentially new! A good Cue-Maker gave me a price of $1500 - to make a 9-ball shaft. I knew Tom Gauthier very well and have several of his original cues. Anymore questions? Call me. Ph. # on the site.
