Everybody seems so keen on it so far (except alex). I am not enough of a mug to pay £45 for it, but when it comes down to under £30 I shall buy it-and look forward to playing some of you guys online.

First of all the rankings in champioonship mode have made up players in it plus the rankings are very inacurate with Graeme Dott number 27 and Alan McManus number 13. I am very annoyed that the game has gone back to using fake players after the last three games had all the players bar Jimmy plus it says in the advetisments that there are 104 pros on it, well where are they? Also the writing on the screen is too small and when creating a new player I had to sit right infront of the television screen just to make out what it said. Another irritation is that the camera is too far away from the table when playing a shot so most of the time you have to guess the pathes of the balls.
It really is a huge let down!
use the zoom or cue camara then if you cant see it from normal angles or just move the camera a little thats what i did and it works fine, im just crap at it hahaha im gettin a little better tho well thats on the 360 anyway dunno if the camera's are the same for other formats. well i'd recommend buying this game anyway its class and the archivements on the 360 looks like you maybe in with a chance of getting them unlike a few games i have with unrealistic ones unless your a genius at them. ony the white wash achievement looks hard really

It's a great game, but it seems you cannot save in the middle of a game (ie. between frames)? Does this mean if you want to play a major final properly you're going to have to keep the game running constantly until you complete it? If so, that's a major oversight - it would make playing a major final with all the frames an impossibility surely, as I don't want to leave my 360 switched on and running the game for several days. Even the real ones have intervals!

Greggywocky, that's my biggest problem with the game. Even when i play the games on medium play it takes a while to play the 3 frames in the qualifying. It' putting me off playing the championship mode. I would rather play on realistic mode but i really don't have the time to play the best of at least 9 frames in one go. I really hope they bring out a patch to sort this major problem out

Just rang Sega. You have to have it on auto save. Then it saves after every frame. When your finished playing and still have frames to play, don't quit game ( they didn't say that), just press the big xbox button on your contoller then just press the Y button to get back to dashboard. next time you load up the championship you will be able to continue your game.

Heh,, cheers simon, i came over here from the main website for one reason, to find out how to quit a game after a frame and not have to restart, i already had it on autosave but wasn't able to continue my game, now i know why, Dont quit. Thanks

Yeah, same here, now i know how to do this, my rating for the game goes up. Probabaly would have still been better if it just saved after the last frame and let you continue even when you quit, but we can't have everything.
Off Topic:/ 'Greggywocky', are you the same guy who did the users review on Eurogamer?

Hi,
i'm pretty new to this snooker game, played the xbox version a little bit, thought it was great, so i got this one for my 360. and WOW Welcome to the PES of Table games...
By the way thanks for the tip on saving between frames... (thought it was a game breaker)
Have a question though if you play career with real settings (full Frames), when you win a match do you get 1 point /frame for building up your characters statistics or is it 1 point /match as when you play with the short setting?
Don't know of I like the idea of leveling up my character in a game like this , would be more interested at going online with the same abilities as everyone else i meet ( I will have enough problem winning anyway grinding to get an competitive player doesn't fit this game, me thinks!
thanks for your help...

It doesn't give you a point per frame, no. As far as I can tell, the advantages of Accurate mode are simply the realism and the extra practice, though I'm sure someone will correct me if that's wrong. At the moment I'm playing on Accurate, and though I managed a 121 clearance against Fu, I then got tanked 7-1 by Stephen Lee in the quarter finals of the Grand Prix!
And yes, I wrote the review on Eurogamer, mainly because the official one was so poor!
...one more thing - I now have 4 cues, but for some reason can only select Cue 1????
And finally, what's also quite poor is that you can't run a snooker career and a pool career at the same time!

ps2 version wsc2007
in the ps2 version can u turn off that cue ball positional circle?
i find the ps2 ball graphics are inferior to 2005 version
with very little reflection.some reds look black from a distance.
also that problem where the ball stops for a secound during a shot is back from wcs2004.overall am disappointed with this years version.
maybe they put all their effort into the 360 version.

now i do have a problem its not as fast loading as others but other than that its not gonna be as good graphically as the 360 version but then the ps3 will make bones out of the 360 lol they should also make a pc version so my pc can destroy the ps3 version and they should make a wii version i reckon that would be wicked imagine how well you would play in real life if you were using the wii's motion capture method!
