Changing career seasons question

I'm coming towards the end of my 3rd snooker career season. At the end where you get the choice to continue and play another snooker season or pool (or hybrid), if I decided to continue and play one season of pool, after the pool season has ended, could I then come back and play the next season of snooker - but still keep my current snooker ranking place?

So in theory could I play alternative seasons of snooker and pool, and keep my respective rankings going for both?
