well, I think, that was becuase they wanted to make the game slide, rather, than on the PS2 version, it does get stuck easily.

Release It On Pc
the main thing is to release it on PC, PC gaming is a dying breed now unless it is a fighting or war game...(who wants them)
I have played the 2005 version for hours, done breaks of 100 plus won tournaments, beaten top players and got to number 3 in the world.
what a game it is... then looking forward to playing 2007 but not available on PC what a con.
Thats my moan over

One thing that was fine in 2005, but not in 2007 was the players use of the rest, or lack thereof
In 2005, if you couldn't reach the shot (lining up directly behind the cue ball) you had to use a rest.
Seems pretty obvious but in 2007, the players more often than not play a left handed shot (if right handed) instead of the rest, or even worse play the shot with the cue stuck about 1 foot to the left/right of the players head. In real life it would be impossible to line up correctly and play a shot like this. Any thoughts of realism are instantly dashed when you see this.
I just cannot understand why this has been dumbed down

God, I really hated the 2005 wsc. Totally unrealistic, ugly and once you started playing the better players they never missed a shot. They also potted insane balls and chose weird paths in they're positional play.
I don't see why it has to be hard to make a snooker game that's descent and has a genuine feel to it. I got the feeling, while playing the 2005 version, that the creators of the game hadn't even watched snooker IRL, and just threw something together. Awful.
I'm sorry I went off topic here.

How about annoying chalk sounds or balls that stick their tongues out when the player is inactive lol
I find playing Snooker games hard because after a few shots I just want to play for real. I don't know if this is already a feature but being able to show replays from the perspective of the back of an arena would be sweet.

OK I havn't played WCS 2007 for a long time now, I have the ps2 version. Here is my take on things:
Baize colour - that green hurts my eyes! Yes it is a lime green but not that bright!
Sound FX - Why oh why do the balls have that strange clack sound, the break off shot sounds terrible. I have heard the FX on the (hopefully) upcoming online game Matchplay Snooker and they are very realistic, from the cue hitting the cueball to the potting sound it's much better.
Forget the icon menus please! Words are the best way to give us the options,I don't want to rotate things to play a game of snooker.
Commentary - With all due respect, forget John Parrott and Steve Davis as commentators. They just don't sound right, John Virgo and Dennis Taylor (why did the stop using his commentary?!) lead the way. If you are in a tourney that would be broadcast on tv,how about an audio link from Hazel Irvine - "So it's over to Dennis and John in the commentary box" "Thanks Hazel" etc
The balls stay in the jaws too much if you miss a shot, most of the time if there is a fair bit of power they should rattle yes,but then they go along the cushion or bounce out into the table. It would be better sweating as you see that red go across the table, where will it finish lol. Whereas at the moment you know you're going to stick it up over the jaws.
Don't get me wrong it's a good game but just think how much better it would be even if just some of the basics were improved.

I think the "unlocking" of the greats of yester year would be great. Just imagine playing Ray Reardon of Alex Higgins, with thoes big collared shirts, bit like going back in time. Perhpas the characters could even smoke like before!!!
Does the Cue ball finishing position shadow on 2007 not exist on the 2005 version?

i think the players should be already unlocked on free mode. as im so poor at this game im never gonna unlock it.
also i think they shoud use a different colour line to the yellow as i have a small tv and it mixes with the colour of the table a lil bit.
