What you’d like to see in WSC 2008

I'd like to see classic matches back in the game. They were my favorite thing about the 2004 version.

I hate how the ranking system (this is from 05) didn't give any indication of where the points came from. The total just kept going up. I'd also rather see a proper system, where the top 16 remain the top 16 for the season. I'd also like to see realistic player progression as seasons progress, i.e. players dropping off the tour, new players joining it. I'd also like to see the players get worse as they get older, as they would in reality. Is asking the players to visibly age a little asking too much? I'd also like an amateur tour that you have to build yourself up from. You start off say with a National Championship and PIOS, and progress to the World Amateur Championship and on up into the Main Tour. I'd like to see the game getting easier as you reach your peak, and then, like the CPU pros, getting harder as you go past 40 (if you're still playing it then!). This would be done by altering the aiming aids appropriately. Another thing I'd like to see is that practice provides a boost to the aiming aid. Say if you play a practice frame before every match, depending on how you play in that frame, your aiming aids are better. Also, the aids should react to confidence. If you miss a few balls in a row it's more difficult etc.

So, to sum up, more realism with the gameplay, and more sensitivity to human aspects of the game.

IMHO there shouldn't even be any aiming aid lines, it's not very realistic even for people just wanting to play the game casually. Everyone just changes the angle until it lines up with the pocket!

The best method is to have a mini picture of where the cue-ball will strike the object view (as in Grand Billiards and 8 Ball Club). Even though this is a help it is more realistic in that this what the player would be seeing as they are down on the shot.

If it is, I've never had one (in three seasons). The computer is good enough as it is without giving us kicks all the time, and not giving the AI them!

Can't you find a copy of the game on eBay?

07 always seemed to be a bit quick for me I'd like to see it slowed down a bit

I also would like it easier to adjust the spin without the pointer flying from one side to the other so quickly which I always find a problem on 07I think the line up when you line up a shot needs to be slowed down a tad tooas these things aer what annoys me most about 07
