i really hope the animations are a lot better (one of the focal points) than the previous games, they were just horrendous to be fair, when you took your shot the player never put their chin on the cue or anything it was as if they were taking the shots standing up, seen some recentley released screenshots earlier, and it looks as if we've the same problem!! what's going on? facial graphics look exactly the same as the previous game! all cartoonish, just my opinion i love the snooker games, but they need some heavily made work done to them.

So you have added a no cheat code to the online play?? Does that mean if you lose connection the other player gets the win ???
Is the positional black circle in the game online?
Can some please explain the true skill online leader-board system !! How it works ... For example how do you lose points for winning games 2-1 ... Do you get more points for high breaks or is it on frame win loss ratio been playing the game online for 4 years and still don't understand it !!
I think you should learn from activistion as they ask the fans about how to improve the game before you start the process of developing the game still can't understand why a game from 2005 has better player animation
I think the game needs a total overhaul starting from scratch with motion captured players
Snooker is a game of true skill you shouldn't be aloud to pot from any ball from anywhere
The online play on 2009 got to be a joke all people do is roll up to the pack because Any sight of a ball it was frame over ... That's not snooker
All dark energy have answered is what they have added to the game not what's been done with all the problems with the last game
Yes they have changed the loading times
Improved the shot taking system ( I thought was ok didn't need changing)
Can't wait for the trailer when is it being released ?
It's your duty to answer our questions as fans that's what this forum is for ... Hope for your answers soon

Originally Posted by zimrahil View PostI wish you all the very best. However like previous poster your best version was 6 years ago and wonder if you will answer these pressing questions?
- Will characters use rest in appropriate situations like they did in WSC2005. In last 2 iterations they play shots almost at right angles to body position, looked very unrealistic?
- When AI needs snookers will they stop potting a red unless they can go for high valued colours. Previously for example with a snooker needed and one red left on table, AI would pot last red, then concede. Never understood the logic?
- Will AI finally have difficulty levels? I appreciate the players themselves all play to different standards but can 'the overall' standard of the players as a whole be raised or lowered. Good players find playing lower ranked AI a waste of time as they never give a good challenge?
- Will all licenced players now play with correct handedness. In previous versions, off top of my head, Mark King played right handed, Holt played left handed, Greene played right handed. Licenced players surely must play with correct handedness for any sense of realism?
- Will aiming arrows on hardest level be like in WSC2005. I.e. very short and challenging for skilled players. Players who find this difficultly level too hard simply need to play at lower skill level to suit their needs. I found in last game, even on hardest level I couldn't miss a ball
You have mentioned gameplay improvements, all the above are examples of these. I await with interest your response, if any
Good luck with game

Lots of questions
Okay, lot of questions there. I'll try to give some answers now, and check with other members of the development team for more answers on Monday.
The first thing to say is that we get hundreds of suggestions from all the awesome fans of the game, and we're always working to incorporate as many as we can. We do ave to focus and prioritise each year, and this year our focus was on gameplay and accessibility - which I hope you'll agree is the most important. We have made refinements to characters, animations and graphics too though, so you should see an improvement. Anyway, to some of the specific questions I read:
- Yes you can now save matches at any point and come back to them later. This was a high priority for us thanks to all the feedback you gave previous. In addition we now store EVERY shot in the match in memory, so you can replay the very first shot of the first frame even if you are near the end of the whole match. You can also tag them as favourites to find them easily. In addition we've added the rewind feature - it works just like a flashback in a racing game. You can go back to any of your previous shots in the whole match and continue the match from that point by re-taking the shot. For obvious reasons we've limited this feature to 2 uses per match and it's not available in online play. Also you can't get the 147 achievement if you use it.
- We're constantly trying to get the right balance with the aiming aid between pro players who don't want it to be easy, and casual players who don't want it to be to hard. Yes the grey positional circle is still a feature, but you can toggle all the aiming aid features on and off individually in the options. You can even play with no aiming aid at all.
- I will get back to you on TrueSkill, I need to check all the details when I'm back in the studio.
- Trailer is coming soon. By which I mean we're putting the finishes touches on it this coming week. Can't wait to see what you all think of it - the new replay features really do need to be seen to be fully appreciated
Rest assured guys we will continue to take all your feedback to heart for the development of the series - we think you're going to really love the new features in this one, we think it's the best version since 2005 and hope you'll agree.

"Yes you can now save matches at any point and come back to them later."
Just to clarify this, do you mean you can save at any point in a frame, or just between frames in a match? Hopefully the latter.

The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!

Would be great if you can explain the true skill online leader board !! I know there's loads of us that need that one explaining.
I think it's great your answering our questions it shows us you are trying to improve the game we all love & if there is problems you have not quite fixed least we know your listening to our feedback and will take that to account for the next game
Looking forward to the trailer !!

You can save the match at any point by selecting save and quit from the pause menu. When you then come back to continue you will be taken back into the match on the same shot you were on before. You'll also still have all the previous shots of the match still saved to replay or retake (if you have not used all your retakes).
At the end of a match you can choose whether to archive the match and save it to memory so that you can view replays of any of the shots in the future. You can tag shots as favourites to make it easier to find them.
Will get back to you with info on Trueskill. Thanks for your kind comments we do listen to the community and work hard to include as many features as we can - a lot of what you asked for from the last version is now in the game.

1. When Will The Trailer For The Game Be Available?
2. All New Commentary and By Who? Has The Ref Voice Been replaced?
3. Has The Audio FX Been Changed in the game also?
Answers:
1. We're just putting the finishing touches on the trailer, so we'll be launching these soon. I'll put a link up on here as soon as it's live. We're also putting the finishing touches on the official website to launch with the trailer so keep your eyes peeled.
2. Commentary hasn't been an area of focus for us this year, you've still got the options to adjust the commentary frequency to your liking as in the previous version though, which allows people to adjust to their tastes
3. Yes! We've given the audio some spit and polish - most importantly we have recorded all new ball impact and cushion sounds for the game by sampling from a real life table with super-sensitive mics. Also when you watch a slow motion replay, the pitch of all the sounds is effected accordingly, just like when you slow-mo video. The sounds even play in reverse with pitch bending when rewinding a shot and it sounds awesome
