    2. All New Commentary and By Who? Has The Ref Voice Been replaced?
    3. Has The Audio FX Been Changed in the game also?

    Answers:

    1. We're just putting the finishing touches on the trailer, so we'll be launching these soon. I'll put a link up on here as soon as it's live. We're also putting the finishing touches on the official website to launch with the trailer so keep your eyes peeled.

    2. Commentary hasn't been an area of focus for us this year, you've still got the options to adjust the commentary frequency to your liking as in the previous version though, which allows people to adjust to their tastes

    3. Yes! We've given the audio some spit and polish - most importantly we have recorded all new ball impact and cushion sounds for the game by sampling from a real life table with super-sensitive mics. Also when you watch a slow motion replay, the pitch of all the sounds is effected accordingly, just like when you slow-mo video. The sounds even play in reverse with pitch bending when rewinding a shot and it sounds awesome

Brilliant stuff thanks very much, so the Refs voice and Commentary remains the same from the last series?

      Dear Ferret,
      I am Toby.
I was wondering if you known about WSC Real 11 commentators?
Could you please tell me please if you known anything?
      Cheers, Toby

        Dear Ferret,
Oh okay so the commentary is only from John Virgo, Steve Davis & John Parrott?
        Cheers, Toby.

          • Will characters use rest in appropriate situations like they did in WSC2005. In last 2 iterations they play shots almost at right angles to body position, looked very unrealistic?
          • When AI needs snookers will they stop potting a red unless they can go for high valued colours. Previously for example with a snooker needed and one red left on table, AI would pot last red, then concede. Never understood the logic?

          • Will AI finally have difficulty levels? I appreciate the players themselves all play to different standards but can 'the overall' standard of the players as a whole be raised or lowered. Good players find playing lower ranked AI a waste of time as they never give a good challenge?

          • Will all licenced players now play with correct handedness. In previous versions, off top of my head, Mark King played right handed, Holt played left handed, Greene played right handed. Licenced players surely must play with correct handedness for any sense of realism?
          • Will aiming arrows on hardest level be like in WSC2005. I.e. very short and challenging for skilled players. Players who find this difficultly level too hard simply need to play at lower skill level to suit their needs. I found in last game, even on hardest level I couldn't miss a ball

You have mentioned gameplay improvements, all the above are examples of these. I await with interest your response, if any

          Good luck with game
Posting this one last time in hope of a response, though I fear lack of response means they have already been answered

On the contrary, we began our initial design discussions for WSC Real 11 by analysing feedback from fans, including all the comments on this forum, and then used this as a basis for our production plan.

We get literally hundreds of requests and obviously time and resources are not unlimited so we prioritise. We embarked on an ambitious new R&D project to upgrade the physics engine, resulting in the new 100% pixel perfect physics and this had a lot of benefits which we were able to utilise for new features like the slow motion replays, saving every shot in the game and the rewind/retake features. We also included the most commonly requested features such as online tournaments, simplified controls, improved character create, faster loading times and a streamlined interface.

Obviously our own design ideas and desires have a big impact too, but we will continue to strive to deliver the game Snooker fans want. This year the focus was game, game, game.

In that case, read all my posts posted in the wsc 09 threads, and make sure there's a demo for ps3...

Unless you fix issues, some of which were present since you started this franchise 11 years ago, all the new features in the world will not make me part money for this game

You haven't answered any of my questions so I already know long standing issues will still be there (glad to be proven wrong - we shall see)

All the posts in the WSC 09 thread were read and during the design process for WSC Real 11 and analysed. Our feedback was gathered from other sources too and mined to determine the most important areas of focus to fans. We then prioritise. Obviously with hundreds and hundreds of suggestions from fans, some of which contradict each other, we cannot possibly deliver on everything. However we make sure the most important / frequently requested issues are at the top of the list.

Obviously fixing issues is also a key part of the development strategy as well adding new features. Work has been done to improve the animation behaviour, including when players use rests and yes the AI has been tuned and improved. There's also an all new aiming arrow system and you can disable the parts of it independently. This was developed based on feedback from hundreds of fans so hopefully you will like it.

We will continue to place the most frequently requested issues and features at the top of our priority list - so keep commenting guys and thanks for being some of the most passionate fans out there

Well no doubt the biggest problem with wcs real 2007 onwards is the pulling issue with online games it happened to me on countless occasions there is no point playing online unless this is fixed
Pulling : pulling out your wire when just about to lose so you don't drop any skill points
First problem is ovouis you have just battled away for a hour (safety game) get your chance and clear up as soon as you have scored 75 or more ::: connection to player comes up ..... Bang total waste of time
                            Second problem
The true skill online leader board is incorrect because of all the players pulling to protect there skill points
Which makes the game pointless online because of all the pullers
I hope this issue has been addressed as it's been a massive fault since 2007 couldn't believe this wasn't fixed on the 2009 game ...... I know loads of gamers waiting on this issue as they won't be bothering if it ain't been fixed .....

I haven't forgotten about this question don't worry. I'm still seeking full details on how it has been fixed to pass onto you... but those programmers are a busy bunch and have some high priority work to attend to. I'll get your answer for you even if I have to impose caffeine sanctions on the entire programming team to get it!

Note to self, if you need an answer from somebody on the dev team threaten their caffiene supply! Works a treat. This one is for you CookieMonsta, I know you've been waiting for the answer!

YES the issue is FIXED in WSC Real 11. If an opponent pulls you will automatically be awarded a win and this will be passed on to your TrueSkill leaderboard. The person who pulled will be given a lose.

In addition, in the new online tournaments, if somebody pulls during say the semi final they will be sent back to the very first round of the tournament but you will remain in the semi final.

                                So... there you have it
