Well that's one area I'm glad they haven't forced on the game. Trying to judge the power with the analogue stick has been virtually impossible since they introduced it.

Yeah but isn't that part of the enjoyment of learning and playing the game (both real and virtual)?

I guess a poor implementation of such a feature would make it pointless but done right it should be far better and more satisfying than setting a power bar and pressing X. Even some kind of variation on a 3-click golf swing system would be a step in the right direction so there's some degree of skill or judgement required.

Maybe what this shows is that the best place for a cue-sport sim is on a PC using a mouse.

Any of the Virtual games emulate fine on DOSBox. Virtual snooker still ranks as the greatest snooker game ever made, in my eyes. Making a break on that was some major achievement, and offered a feeling of greatness that this tripe will never match.

All these pages in and DE still haven't even hinted at helping the real players. I haven't played the game in over a week. I used to LIVE on the last gen versions, and have lost count of the the hours spent knocking in balls on my humble Xbox.

Well im really glad i waited for reviews from you guys, i WONT be buying this even if they do patch it,i wish with these so called developers would realise that the world is in recession,and they cannot get away with making a shoddy product and expect people to take a chance on it,there is only so much money about,and to be honest i hope the makers of this game go under.

The problem, Louie, is that when developers release shoddy games like this, they do so in safe in the knowledge that enough people will have bought it without bothering to wait for reviews. Once you've parted with your £30 the developers have made their money, regardless of what you do after that (exchange, sell, demand your money back).

well they can't count on me buying any moer I've defended them up to now because tin general the games have not been too bad but this shambolic attempt has gone too far

I doubt dark energy will post about a patch here until the next version when some of you will pay forty quid for the patched version of this years game with....spots on tables and correct frames for full matches and the list goes on....

I think the replay ieda is good cos if you make a mistake it gives you a chance to correct it but they should have done far better thsan they have I agree with that

Anyone know of a way to get the 'online' bit of Virtual Snooker working? I'm kinda suggesting we start a proper 'real' players thing on that. Maybe it's not possible though, as I don't know how it connects and even if DOSBox can do it.

Shame though, I'd love to play some human matches on it, it's fantastic.
