WSC Real 2011

Anyone know of a way to get the 'online' bit of Virtual Snooker working? I'm kinda suggesting we start a proper 'real' players thing on that. Maybe it's not possible though, as I don't know how it connects and even if DOSBox can do it.

Shame though, I'd love to play some human matches on it, it's fantastic.

It would be nice to get going online.

Have tried VP1 ? Copy the 1024 Vesa driver from the Snooker and you can play Pool at the same res.

I was wondering. In WSC Real 2011 are all players and venues playable in Versus mode from the start, or do you have to play hours and hours of career to get them?

Some things that I don't quite like about the game.

The "Customize a Player" option is so limited ... for example there are 7 haircuts to choose from (1 of which is an afro, and 1 is a mohawk (David Beckham thing)) Also don't know if this happened on your game, but the colour of the waistcoat wouldn't preview upon choosing (only the coulours grey and black!?!?)

The game states the competition is in a "2 table situation", and then you walk into an arena with 1 table. What's all that about!!? It's just simple things like this that you can't believe have slipped through testing (spots on the table being another one)

I have no problem with the ball physics, the spin applied reacts as if you were playing a proper game of snooker .... but in my opinion the tables play incredibly slow, the balls stop dead a bit, takes time to get used to.

All in all, a bit disappointing, wish I had settled with the 09 version in all truth.

that may be because it's based on the 2010-2011 season letsnot forget that like football snooker takes place over the winter months primarily

Yes they were the better versions. Dont expect to hear from DE until nxt yrs version. But we remember him/her for not delivering and no update on patch. Come on codemasters....

I just got wsc 2011 today and am enjoying it despite all the flaws. Does anyone know wher the cues are? in my career stats it says i have unlocked five cues but i cant find them anywhere, surely not another thing which has slipped past the game tester (yes, tester as i believe there was only one, with dodgy eyesight).

2) Are the characters all available when you first get the game?
3) If you can watch matches, what is the maximum frames in exhebition mode?

Basically i love simulation, so could i go into the game and watch a cpu v cpu match of Higgins v O'Sullivan for example?

I'm not 100% suer you can looking at the game if you want to see 2 cpu opponents play each other your best bet is to go with the 05 version or earlier

No and No to the 1st 2 dont waste ur money. I rented it. If a company cant even be bothered to put spots and tables and get rounds in career mode correct. Avoid at all costs
