It's the best snooker game yet
It feels like a new game not like 07 & 09 were the same ish
Great improvement on the games physics & the rewind & replay feature is really good ... If you miss you can look back and see in detail what you did wrong really great the AI is also better with miss being called
Graphics look great and loading times are really quick
The aiming aid is alot harder too no more super pots into middle bags it puts the skill back into the game again
Already done the hardcore 147 achievement but I am a veteran of the series.... anyone fancy a game Friday just add me

Well based on what I've read here I've decided to get my pre-order in.

Would be interested in hearing more from you about the AI, different modes, gfx, gameplay etc cookiemonsta.

About the AI what I noticed so far the miss rule is used alot more which is great
Gonna try and do the win a championship game without aiming aid & pos play on achievement can't wait till everyone else is online there's no one to play online yet lol

Befor I buy this game can cookie or Dark Engery answer this.

1. Are there full length match options in the career mode

2. Are the stages of the tournaments correct this time as they have been wrong in previous versions

Well after seeing a few peoples comments on the game elsewhere its coming off as a dissapointment, hopefully my copy arrives tomorrow so i can see how it goes.

Cookiemonsta I would be grateful if you could answer Andy's queries as these are my two main gripes.

i.e.

Are proper full length matches in.... this means 19 frames for world championship not 9 and 13 for early rounds etc.

Have they sorted out the proper format. The last 16 should be in the tournament proper and NOT in the last qualifier play off which they keep getting wrong every year!

Great debate guys! We really are proud of this version, we've worked really hard to fix issues and add great new features and just raise the quality bar overall. We feel it's the best version since 05 and hope you will agree. Of course we will continue to improve it and we'll be engaging more closely with the fans i.e. you guys as we move forward to do just that so let us know how you like the new version and where you would like to see it go in the future.

Also, myself and some of the other devs will be playing online this weekend (between working on our next game) so it would be great to see you online and play some matches

well, on the next version of the game, now that you have the physics engine down etc, work on character animation, try to replicate exactly how the real players move around the table.. and try replicate how they balls because every player cues differently that is what you need to improve on for the next game, and try and make it so the players put their chin on the cue... i mean that is how snooker is played!

...have you not seen the trailer, they do exactly what they do in the 2009 version they practically stand up when taking shots!

What about the seedings though. Is it last 32 in tournaments proper or just last 16 which they keep doing and is wrong

I got my version in the post this morning!

I was disappointed!the graphics of the table and balls are fine, I wouldn't say they wowed me!Were this games loses is it are the player models which are nothing short of terrible!the cueing looks awful as well!I have seen countless shorts where the cue goes through the ball!looks like a PS2 game!

The commentary is also awful,same lines as back as I can remember!the typical repeat being that Virgo has just managed to get his five accross 'grass'!I had my head in my hands when I heard it and even worse that they had decided to keep it in the game!Crowd reaction is generic same noise over and over!seem to have no concept that the reason you missed the pot was because you need snookers and you weren't attempting it in the first place!

The tournaments are there and nicely implemented as with world rankings!

Overall this is the same as the past few versions,maybe with better physics!it looks dated in the player department,an the sound and commentary are even older!

I would give it a 6 maximum!sorry to disappoint,I can see this being sold on ebay!
