I think the game's above average, not by that much but it's better than last time, the overhead view after a shot is one gripe, the other one, is the writing small for everyone like on my TV (and I mean font size 8 small), or is it my small TV, on HD ready TV's for example, I'd heard that Gran Turismo 5 doesnt have this problem, have the same problem on that too on my tele, I can't see my ranking points either, the line highlighting your world ranking is the same colour as the text almost!! Can anyone confirm that the frames are best of 13, 13, 15, and 19 in tournament play and not technically ful length matches, the qualifiers last time were real length on 100% but the tournaments weren't I'm thinking it's quite likely the same this time?

Just tried the match replay system for the first time:

After figuring out that it won't just play from start to finnish on it's own, and you have to press R on the D-Pad to play the next shot, I then looked for how to get rid of the little controol pannel at the bottom, so I could see who's in play and what the scorres are. Guess what.....

You guys at DE seriously don't think that it's at all important when watching a game of snooker to know who is in play and what the score is, really????

Just bought it today. I don't even have a blue ball on the table when I'm playing snooker and AI figure sometimes disappears when taking a shot leaving just the cue floating in mid-air. Can't say I'm impressed at all. Best version was '05 on PS2.

That review sounds ominous as well. When reviews are bad, you are more determined to draw your own conclusions. It's like the ''bas as Stephen Lee in a bikini.'' Uncalled for but everyone would look.

Don't buy this game if you are still thinking about it.

It is full of bugs, not to mention ridiculous and pathetic errors. Clearly it was rushed out for the start of the wsc in sheffield.

How can you not put the spots on the table?? I get a break of 134 and the final stat says it was a 133. I win an online game and it records it as a loss. I try to change my profile and press apply changes, it says it's saving but alas... Nothing.

The list goes on and on and on.

Well done dark energy for squeezing the pennies from our pockets. At this minute you are considered as thieves. How can you release such a poor game and how can snooker give this game an official endorsement.

You lot should work your asses off and release a patch that covers all of these points in this forum and to improve the game asap.

Hi Guys - well I've got the game and played quite a few frames - if DarkEnergy are proud of this game then they have extremely low standards - this is one series where it just gets worse with every release. still more fool me for thinking it would be any different. Anyway enough moaning there is one possible silver lining to this cloud.

I'm only really interested in online play and I have stumbled upon a set of options that makes the game slightly more challenging and not the usual ' watch your opponent clear the table' mode. I really recommend that you try playing the game with NO aiming or positional aid. This is because u still have the right trigger view to assist you. It therefore becomes possible to build breaks but not 100% clear up every time. In all my online matches like this u get 3-4 visits to table every time and safety play based on skill. Do try it and see what u think. Add me 'JONESY iw' on 360 if u wanna few frames this way.

gave the game another try last night. potted a long red but left white nearly touching the yellow with no pot on. rolled up behind it to leave a snooker but was called for a foul even though i clearly moved the yellow off it's spot (imaginery spot of course as they don't have the time or finance to include this in the game).
i would echo the point of the previous post here, do not buy this game! it's littered with faults & is worse than the 09 version, probably worst ps3 game i've had the misfortune to waste my money on.
let's hope a professional developer can take over this franchise & give snooker fans the game they deserve.

It also says it all when DarkEnergy doesn't have the decency to respond to these valid criticisms over the last few days. The game's poorly presented, graphically dated, full of basic (& inexcusable errors) & is really just a glossed over poorer version of the already average 09 version.
Have the balls to give the people who have wasted their hard earned cash some answers....

Yep i found that too...only play online with both off but with the right trigger still able to pot balls and have a decent game

If u've read the whole thread uve probably seen my posts about the previous versions and ability of top pros, played a game last nite, won 5-2, he made 2 50 + clearances and a 30, so they SEEM to be better than last time, last time higgins could barely make 50, in 03 and 04 top pros would make 4 or 5 100s a match, a couple of 80s or more in a world champs match so were better, it seems a bit more realistic to me, will be playing more tonight though!

If you decide to play without using the right trigger its a challege and not a bad game if you enjoy snooker,the right trigger is handy online without the aids to have a decent game...but i reckon if you played other versions cant blame you for steering clear for now
