Any chance of a PC version? Also any chance of severely updating the controls on the PC version - i.e. ability to use the mouse to properly aim/strike the cueball, ala Virtual Pool? Or will the actual fans of the snooker game be sticking to VP3 awaiting for 4?

The problem comes down to gamer taste.
Sadly, as much as we would love everyone to rush out and buy our snooker game, they're not. They're playing COD or some other identikit shooter, so the chances of a conversation to PC are slim. Now, if it was a balls out (pun intended) potathon, with explosions and gunfire, it'd get a port no problems.

It generally comes down to what the game companies think of people. If you notice PC games are generally a good amount cheaper than console games. I have seen as much as £15 difference in the same game in different formats. I just prefer certain games on certain formats. I prefer snooker and pool on the PC and insane action games and racing games on the console.

Yeah, there's a real rift between what is being churned out now, and the classics of the last generation. It's sad to watch the decline of a series that I have supported since the PS1. As for PC versions, I have them all, and they're damn fine versions. They always benefited from the higher resolutions, and the raw power of a PC. Even the first version on Pc, which was an updated port of the PS1 version, had reflective balls and bump mapping.
I always thought they lost a little of their magic without a pad, though. But that's most likely because I learnt to play the game orginally on a Dual Shock!

Playing them on PS3, maybe it's just mine, but they stutter like crazy. I noticed it when playing the actual PS2 versions (I played them mainly on the Xbox, where they were silky smooth), but when running them through the backwards compat, they're pretty rubbish. Much like most games ran through PS3!
