Retake ...

Hi,

I have a question, on WSC Real 2008 for Wii ... when my opponent made a mistake (fault), why the options are always "Continue" and "Force continue"?

Why there is no "Retake"?

I remembered once and a while, I got that Retake option ... but almost none ...

If I see in TV, I always see Retake ...

that's weird, took the words out of my mouth. i have been noticing the same thing lately.
i used to get the retake alot at the start, but the other day, the computer took a light shot and just missed. i still had no retake option, so your not alone. i will keep an eye on this, but i'm sure it has not let me for ages. however, when i did it he made me retake. very frustrating!
i know you have achieved alot on this, like myself. so maybe the computer is trying to increase pressure on us, although still not fair and unrealistic.
i'll keep an eye on this and let you know, as hope you can do same for me.

how you got on lately?
i thought i was going to beat my 141 break the other day, still without using the skill points and then realised when knocked the black down was 141 again. damn!!! so got 2 141's now. this season has been my best so far, as i have 3 wins, with 3 tournaments remaining. made a right hash of grand prix and not quite at 16 to qualify pot black, but hoping won't be long, as almost at 20th.
all my skill points are stored at 200+, but still not going to use them, as doing fine as i am.
if i can just keep playing as i have this season and keep focused, i will be hoping to make it 6 final wins in a season and make it in or higher than 20th. won't hold my breath though. hope your doing well, as i am just addicted.

In wsc 07 I have only ever had a retake option twice.

That's exactly what I experienced! I think there must be some bugs or something.

My progress is quite slow now ... I still play at least once a day or once every 2 days. But I limit not more than 6 frames.

The thing is that I hate match against ... Ronny and Ronny and Ronny and Ronny ... all the time in the final.

I like it though because I must be very careful. Once I lost a safety, then it will all over.

However, Blade made Ronny O'Sullivan too good ... I rarely saw other player won a tournament (I remember David Gilbert won once).

Blade should give ... sometimes ... different. Like Ding Jun Hui ... or Mark Shelby ... or Ryan Day ... in the FINAL!!

Not always Ronny and Ronny again and again.

I know he is a very good player, but thats not realistic.

I will email Blade to change that in WSC 09 for Wii. Definetely they should change it.

Why don't you play with real live opponents instead of the AI players? Online. That way it is different every time.

... skill points heh. What are these skill points and how can those be used as an advantage in the game? I have played snooker only 3 years, maybe not enough to know what are the skill points and how to use them. Just wondring..

Why don't you play with real live opponents instead of the AI players? Online. That way it is different every time.

Because WSC Real 08 for Wii does not have ONLINE mode

And I have limited friends who like to play snooker/pool, especially in Wii.

... skill points heh. What are these skill points and how can those be used as an advantage in the game? I have played snooker only 3 years, maybe not enough to know what are the skill points and how to use them. Just wondring..

Skill points are uniques in WSC Real 08 for Wii (probably).

Everytime you won a match, you got 1 or 2 skill points (2 points if your opponent could not win a frame).

So, you can collect as many as skill points

Then you can invest (distribute) to several SKILLS that will influence your game play.

For example:
- Potting skill
- Spin skill
- Tool skill
- etc.

i think you do get points in friendly, but not 100% sure. there never really friendly with me, so just play career and give as much as i get! he he!

that's funny snookdude, it does seem a little ott. allthough ronnie had a record of 9 wins against me, over my 1. lately i have improved and won 4-5 matches in a row against him. i think he may be getting frustrated with me, as i'm stopping him getting more titles and allowing others to actually make the final for a change. ha, ha!!
