drum roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well done mate. i doubt i will getting this any time soon!
at least i can say i beat your score..........................................at darts. i got a cheap copy of pdc darts 08, as heard loads of people complaining that it won't work properly. as i like a challenge, i thought i would see what all the moaning was about. i can say that i played 3 matches in career and won them all with loads of 140's as well as 26 180's. people are not timing their throw correctly, however i did notice the computer cheat on a few ocassions when i needed a double check out. i was throwing perfect darts, but when i was so far ahead, the computer would not let me throw the dart. i tried and tried, but in the end really had to throw hard in frustration and missed. it was like someone played a joke on me and stuck superglue on my darts. after he had thrown his 3 and got closer to my score, it suddenly let me throw and win. so the computer seems to cheat if your doing too well, as i found out, although i still won anyway. i think the computer tries to put more pressure on you or just get you frustrated.
seeming as it's your lucky day, have you thought of doing the lottery!!!!!!!
well snookdude, looks like it was our lucky week. just when i thought getting two 141's was going to be my best, you get a 147 and i also get one today!
so two 147's in a week, has got to prove it's a lucky week.
anyone else (how many on here) have got the wii version. (how long have you been playing) and (what are your achievements, highest breaks, etc).
it don't matter how good or bad, more or less experience you have had, etc. it just seems to help people improve there own breaks, achievements, as we all have something to target and tends to spur you on without giving up so easily.
I am now (really) limit myself on playing this game. Just one match a day or every 2 (or even 3 days). So, my progress will be quite slow.
However, by doing this, I feel quite improved on my play.
I knew now how hard it is in the real match like those professionals !
Today, I won for the 3rd times, Shanghai Masters ... I beat David Gilbert in the final (who beat Ronny in the semi!). I dont know, I feel very easy to win Shanghai Masters. Probably the computer opponents are programmed to think it is not an important tournament. Mark Selby was really not careful, John Higgins made a lot of mistakes. It was not my best play, not at all ... but I still won. Strange ........
It is different compared to UK Championship, Nothern Ireland or Welsh ... They are very difficult. At least in my games.
cheers snookdude, i tried to make the 6 tournaments this season, but made a right mess of it. still i made 4 wins and listed them in a new thread. i write a new thread in the hope that people will actually come out of hiding and admit to owning this game and listing there achievments. theres no online play, so i feel it's a way of keeping everybody in touch with each others performances.
i also feel that it tends to spur you on more, as to stick with it and not give up so easily. there don't seem many that actually own this on here, so just thinking of ways to give people confidence to just list and improve there performances. maybe people are annoyed with the controls as it uses a sensor, (can't see why as i personally find it more interactive and realistic to just pressing a button after moving the power gauge. graphics are not anything like the pc, etc, but like i said before, the controls are more interactive and well easy to judge after a little practice.
head over and list on this to let everyone know how you get on and hopefully others will list theres, with confidence that others are.
crucible77, you'll get there mate.
we all had trouble getting into this and i had results worse than yours at first, as a couple of balls down and game over.
i don't know how long you been playing, but playing quick play and practice is the way forward, before jumping into career. getting your aim is just one step, i found that perfecting my spins, etc were my key problems and by focusing on these improved my overall results.
seeming as your at 56th and you start at 52nd, i would focus on spins and angles to improve your breaks more. you already have a target best break to beat of your own and once you start beating it more and more, winning will start coming more often. after you start improving, i would just start a fresh career at 52nd and you will find yourself going up in rank, rather than down.
most have played this since release, so had plenty of experience, but the one thing you can look as a positive, is you have stuck with it. most people just give up after a couple of goes and never go back!
i started on 7 breaks, slowly made 16, then 25, then 30's, etc, until now.
the point is, your last break will spur you on to improve the next and you will find that will just keep you determined. this determination is what wins games and you need to be positive.
another important factor is (DON'T GET CARRIED AWAY) and play yourself into trouble. if you have one red on, but are concerned about taking a colour, (DON'T RISK IT). practice controlling the power and go for a snooker, when perfected, it works wonders and leaves the computer to open the reds better for your highest break. this may sound obvious to a lot of people, but it's so easy to just play silly when your quite new to this game, as you feel it's just a computer game and not be cautious. you have to be serious, if you want to win games and you never will improve, unless you play as cautious as you can.
i have done loads of silly shots, just purely for feeling too confident. this just goes to prove that despite my results, you still can't let it get the better and proves that sometimes you can be your own worst enemy.
all the best and lets see a target in the 20's, i know you can do it.
good luck!!!!!!!!
