  • Power Setting

I have only just started playing this game but i love it.
However i am really struggling with setting he power for the shot accurately.
I seem to either get full power or a really soft shot, its very difficult to judge anything in between. I have experimented with the " Shot Aid " setting as well. If the power of the shot is determined by the speed of moving the cue forward, maybe its not sensitive enough to detect small differences in speed.
Does anyone else have the same problem ?
Maybe for a future version, the system might allow you to set your own maximum and minimun. I don't know if this is possible.
I also agree that it would be great to see the number of century and fifty breaks in the stats, not just your highest break.

    I had WSC 2007 on ps2 but when I got a ps3 I sold it all

On WSC 2007 You would aim your shot then you can apply spin and then a power bar would come up and you would move it to where you want and then the shot would will be played or you could move the right analog stick up and down like a cue but it wasn't very good.

i have the very same problem, look out for my game on ebay this week!

I have given up on it! i can get 30's and 40's but no more as i always mess up a shot coz i hardly hit it, its so frustrating!

when the aid is set to full it is too easy and anything less its too unpredictable.

I assume this is WSC 08 for Wii ...

I set the Shot Aim to "half" and I have no problem with power settings (executing the shot).

Well, it could happen that I dont get the power as expected but very very rare ...

And I dont do practice shot

Of course my shot is not perfect, but I did couple of centuries already. My highest break was 135.

I admit, this game is not perfect and the control should be more sensitive. However, I am satisfied enough with it (very much, also my friends!).

I hope Blade will include Wii Motion Plus (if it ever released) in the next release.

Thanks for all the replies. Yes this relates to WSC Real 08 for the Wii.
I can't help thinking that it would be better to have the option to set the power as in previous versions, rather than relying on the forward motion of the remote. I don't think the response is appropriate on all occasions, though its a neat idea to make you feel you are really playing. I would rather have a more playable game though. I have also noticed that you don't allways get your running total called out as your break builds. Also being able to save a game mid frame would be really useful.

            Hi PaulW,

An option to set the power manually rather than relying on the forward motion is nice.

However, imagine if they have online mode, manual setting will have more advantage (more accurate). I know, at this moment there is no online mode, but probably in the future.

Me personally, I like this forward motion method

About saving mid frame, I think you can do it (although I suspect there are some bugs still ... Hello Blade?). See my post here:

              Hi SnookDude. Thanks for that.
I really wanted this game to be great, i think its good but with some tweaks it should be fantastic. I hope that the developers read these comments. I am certainly looking forward to future releases. I am just not sure that the remote is sensitive enough to detect small differences in forward acceleration to be an accurate control method.
