Anyhow, i don't understand why they have changed this because in WSC 2005 it worked fine as you said before.

they are already working on a patch for the PS3 online issue, not sure if it covers anything else, bugs etc...but here is a reply received from Blade today:
"We are currently testing the patch, I'm afraid I cant give a definate date just yet, I'll try and make sure that the website is updated as soon as we know when the patch will be available. Thanks for your patience."

Major positives
1. Save game when you want to save.
You have the option at the end of each frame to save. No autosave needed etc. Also you can quit the match you are in without going to dashboard and can reload match when required
2. Can reload matches in progress
None of this if save and quit during match, reloaded back at 0-0. I could see from my last save, I last played this game 28/8/06 at 14.02 and when I loaded it up, I was playing Stevens in the British Open quarters, the score was 2-2.
I played out the game and won 5-4, it was great playing.
3. Correct player animations
I have commented to death about how in this version player always bends over properly to address the table with cue usually fairly close to chin when cueing etc
4. Correct use of rests
Again have commented loads about how player will always use rest/spider in correct situation, and none of this ambidextrous/lets play shot with cue about 1 foot to the side of me to avoid using rest scenarios
5. Different aiming aids.
How good was it to play with expert aiming aids. This option allows me to play at a reasonable pace, but unless in A1 position, potting becomes a real challenge, forcing me to play safe more etc
Also the blue aiming aid is more distinctive in 05, whereas in 09 I found it hard sometimes to tell how much power the cue ball had applied to it etc
Minor positives
1. Tour mode
This is pretty identical to WSC Real 09, apart from Golden Cue and 8 Ball pool. The snooker tour is basically the same
2. Different referees
I have forgotten about this but you get 2 different refs in WSC 2005. Only minor but nice to see implemented
3. Tour Progress
In this game, Blade allows you to decide before each match if you want to watch AI v AI games. Whilst 99.9% you don't want to do this, at least this option allows you to track a tournament once you are out, and see who reaches the later stages, and maybe watch the final if you so wish etc
So I have listed numerous things which imo Blade got close to being spot on in 05. All these things however have been removed in 07/09 versions. Why this is shall remain a mystery
I desperately wanted to love WSC Real 09, and to those who do enjoy it I envy you, I really do. I wish I had the same feeling of satisfaction when I played it but the issues won't allow itMobo: GA-P35-S3

Btw, the game looks better than in that image, for some reason using printscreen to get the image seems to kill the lighting partially. Doesn't do that for any other game, so just a weird anomaly.
Agreed re: aiming line though! Would love that style. Perhaps some user definable parameters for things like cushion speed would be good too. VP3 had all of these things.[/quote]
Couldn't the cushion speed be modded? Are there any files people could get into to change certain parameters?Last edited by DavisFan76; 10 April 2009, 12:39 AM.Mobo: GA-P35-S3
