whats the best version of this game (not format wise, year wise)

i never bought a snooker game before, but im a big pro evo fan and i still believe the ultimate version is the japanese version back 2006

everyother version just has the addition of new bells and whistles, pointless

so is it worth getting 2007 or is there an 08? cause the feedback here sounds baaaad

I can't get the PC version to work, it just goes to a black screen. I have Radeon 9550 is that supported?

why dont you rent out both the 2007 and 2009 and compare before spending too much of your own cash.

Unfortunately the game requires Pixel Shader 3.0, and you only have 2.0 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. A shame they didn't make the game a bit more scalable.

Got my PC version yesterday, last one I played was 2005 (PC/Xbox).

            Plus points:

Graphics are very nice, I like the positional guide, the coaching, the commentary (although it grates at times, is still well done)

            AI seems to be believable

Game runs very well on my laptop at all highest settings + (1440x900 x2 AA)

            C2D P8400/9600m gt, Vista 64, 3gb ram

            Bad points:
            • No online play, got to admit this was a big wtf moment
            • When I apply spin to the ball, like screwback the animation in a lot of cases still shows the cueball being hit at the top. The spin does work though.
            • The picture in picture, a nice touch unfortunately on one occasion (in 3 hours of playing) it stayed in the corner, meaning some shots were near impossible to line up.
            • Both easy fixes I'm sure.
            • Controls, total lack of configuration options

I am hoping to pick up a 360 version on the way home tonight.

However, could anyone who already has the game please confirm if the positional indicator can be turned off, but keep the aiming indicator on. Like it was in the 2005 version.

              Many Thanks.

Yes thats right you can do that so you have the positional bubble off and the aiming arrows on, thats how I prefer it too.

                  Thats great Thanks for confirming.

Personally I thought 2007 was too easy with the postioning bubble. I got a couple of maximums :snooker: , however in 2005 version with aiming aid only I think my highest was in the 70's.

Without any aids it would probably be about 20

Cant wait to try it tonight.

GAME's service over the internet is good if you'd like to try it, I always use it now as it gets me the game a day early, 2 days in the this case and the delivery to your house is really helpful.
