I have a question. My mate has the game and wants to lend it to me, so I can decide if I like it or not (thanks to Blade, for not releasing a demo). Are there any DRM issues that would make this impossible? If I like it, then I'll buy it for myself. I can't really decide on the game by playing it for a few hours on his PC, as sometimes games take time to grow on me, as I'm sure is the case with lots of people.Mobo: GA-P35-S3

I would really like to know how Blade really arrived at the decision NOT to include online play for the p.c. version of 09 and have it on other formats. They claim it was as a result of market research. Why did the pre-release advertising claim there would be online play. I would like an honest answer to that question, because that one is very fishy.

It really is a moot point, the game is utterly dreadful. Virtual Pool 3 is way beyond this in terms of physics, playability and intuition. Even Virtual Pool Hall if you've still got that. Fancy graphics? Not really, but at least it's playable.

It's awful.
The control system is beyond a joke. Mouse clicks for forward/backward movement in a menu system is just daft and unnecessary anyway, especially when there's no keyboard equivalent. Why can't you use the mouse to aim? Why is the control system so completely convoluted that the game is unplayable?

The 2005 version hasn't got the improvements to the career mode though, has it? Nor has it got the option to take the actual shot from the first person view, something I've wanted in a snooker game for ages.Mobo: GA-P35-S3

I might buy it in the future when it goes down in price but i refuse to spend the full ammount on what appears to be a badly thought out half finished attempt.sigpic A Truly Beakerific Long Pot Sir!

There is hardly any improvement in the career mode, there really isn't. You have to decide whether you think it's worth parting with £20-£30 of your cash for a first person view, plus all the bugs/issues the game comes with
Only you can decide that!

Yes, the game should have the same first person view as VP3. Then you can play without aiming aids, which is more challenging.
Like it is now you cannot aim without the aids, because the camera's viewpoint is not low enough behind the ball.
What I really like in the game is the huge amount of stats after the match. I love stats

WSC Real 09 - PS3 Patch
We have identified an issue with online play on PS3 which can cause games to disconnect. A patch will be released shorlty to rectify the issue.
the above is what it has stated for the last week or so now and to tell you the truth im getting totally pi ss ed off with the game disconnecting me all the time so if blade doesnt release a patch to sort this out then i want my money back because this is a total pi ss take, 34.99 might not be much to blade but its a hell of a lot of money for me to fork out just for a beta version of a game.
