If you exit the match at the start of a frame and then completely quit the game, after loading everything back up if you immediately play next match the game resumes from where you left off.

However should you forget to go to next match and fiddle with your profile or do anything which autosaves before going to next match you lose the lot!!!!

Also if the game does resume the stats only show your stats for that session and not what happened before you resumed?!!!???!!

When ref replaces balls no reflections etc show on the ball until after score updates which looks a bit strange????

Also seen as Im bald and would like a bald player can we fix the wig issues floating around the screen???!!

Can I ask Blade to be on the system test team for WSCReal 2010 these seem simple bugs which should of been picked up on before release
The game is full of strange little bugs, but none of them break the game, but they do annoy, like the floating wig bug. I found that quitting the match and then clicking next match returns you to the previous saved game's state. The message 'quitting will lose all your progress' is inaccurate and should be changed in a patch. There should be an actual save button as well though.

All these little niggles should be fixed in a patch. Someone like Creative Assembly would, but I don't think Blade will. They stated it themselves, they'll only fix gamebreaking issues.

Edit: How do you fine tune the shot in the PC version?

    • I got the ps3 version yesterday. Graphics aint great and the same silly errors are still there from previous versions. Presentation seems ok, dressing room is a nice touch. Commentary is pretty rubbish, many of the comments dont make sense and are exactly the same as inb previous versions. Player models are ok, but the dont seem to cue properly, not even getting their heads over the cue. I also felt let down by the pool mode. 8 ball season only?? Why is this when the psp previous version had a pool season which consisted of proper pool events, 8 and 9 ball and also had 9 ball players in the game as opposed to just UK 8 ball players.
The game physics are ok, but cushion effects and some spin effects are very unrealistic. There are plenty of game options, which should keep most snooker enthusiasts busy.
Overall I am slightly disappointed, however the gameplay is pretty good, career mode is good and its a game that many cueists will enjoy, shame it feels rushed though in my opinion as it could have been great.
I went into a chemist and asked for a deodorant, the assistant said "ball, stick or aerosol", "No, I want it for under my arms!" was my reply.

Agreed. More care (floating wigs!) and attention to detail (more variety in potting sounds, better sounding cushions etc), as well as mouse controlled cueing to add some of the tactile nature of snooker, would make this game amazing.

Rushed, I don't think so, I ordered this game from Amazon in February 2008, for release in March, I, like others, forgot all about it, till I got a e-mail telling me it was on it's way, over a year later, so rush it was not, but it should have been much better, though I do like the game, I remember having it for XBox back in 2004, saving games, no problem, same in next releases, this one seems to have a problem there, back in 2004 I could play with all the Pro's in versus if I wished, not now, though graphics are superb, commentary could have been improved too, same as 2007, but there you have it, my ramble, this and golf are the only games I play on XBox, I'm hoping that EA don't mess up Tiger Woods 2010. What good is it if it DC's every frame?

                • I take your point, but it's there, so there's always a chance of it being fixed. Whereas on PC, it's not there at all. Which is unacceptable.

                  • I'm having trouble aiming on the PC version. The keyboard is just to sensitive, so I end up sitting there in frustration trying to tap it as lightly as possible in order to line up the shot how I want it. It may not be helping that my keyboard has laptop-style keys that have a shorter press, but I'm not sure that that can be the whole reason. Anyone else had issues with this?

                    • You need to hold down space in order to fine tune, although this doesn't always work on the first time of asking, it will though if you try it again.

Ah, so it does. Thanks, that's a big help.

It seems to work and not work at random for me. Anyone else get that?

...but aren't you disappointed with no online play? For me that's what it's all about playing humans not AI!
