If the game (on line) does not work then it is faulty and you are entitled to a re fund or a replacement.

You say that blade's response is 'crap' and is blaming the player. Erm, well what they've said is true about being able to play pool in versus mode in any unlocked location and to be honest I can see the balls in a quickmatch just fine. Regarding your refund you probably could get one if online play isn't working correctly but if blade say it's only a temporary technical error you'll probably have to return the game to them. This would prevent you getting your money back, them fixing the problem and then you playing it online anyway. Good luck though, you'll have to let us know how you get on.

I never returned it in the end, never got my money back, but did swap it for RockBand with all the instruments! Win!

And your comments are fair enough but i still cant see the balls in a quickmatch on 9ball and if there response if to have a Vs match then why even include quick match

Well like I said I can see the balls just fine in quickmatch so I presume it must been an issue with your tv. I don't know. I think blade gave you a reasonable solution to your problem with your existing hardware (tv/monitor/whatever).

hhhhmmm, its not my tele, every other game i own manages to work fine and i can see everything, red included and its fine with other consoles so even if thats the case, still bad programming on Blades part!

hmm, if it was an issue with the lighting or the actual art asset ie. Texture it would show up on every tv. I really don't have that problem and I'm guessing blade didn't either. Honestly mate I'd have checked your tv settings (apologies if you already tried this). I don't suppose it matters now anyway seeing as you swopped the game tis a mystery

I tried everything on my tele, but i couldnt see the balls properly or even my ranking when you and your opposition are matched up before the match begins. Blades answer could of been better then:

'We're sorry you don't like the red table in the practice room, however you can play Pool in versus mode in any unlocked location instead.'

I never said i didnt like it for starters. Answer should of been

'were sorry you have has this problem but we will look into it and let you know'

They could fo come back a day later and said they look but found nothing, honestly then, i wouldnt be too bothered but blaming the gamer who has just spent 40£ on it

more bugs than the amazon rainforest

In my opinion there are some serious flaws in this game/product (Ps3 version). I bought 2 copies the day it came out, one for me and one for my friend. I have taken both copies back to the shop and got a refund.

I have noticed so many bugs in this game. There should be proper quality controll and gametesting in place. Sony should not have allowed blade to release such a defective product. Whats worse is being a snooker fan I have played every blade game so far and every one has had bugs of some sort. I was expecting them to mess stuff up but not to this extent. Also there are lot of bugs are mistakes made in the previous games that should have been picked up on this time.

here are a few things that are wrong with this game:

•HUD overlays on the overhead view getting in the way of shots and pockets

•Commentry recyled from older versions that never worked in the first place

•annoying picture in picture view of commentator which is absurd (although this dissapears when you turn the commentary frequency off thankfully)

•useless replay camera angles pointlessly rotating around balls

•magic floating cue's and high speed character animation

•connection loss during online games.

•the crowd starting to applaud and then never shutting up until you quit the session (not the frame the whole match)


It's a shame because this game has game could have been so much better. Initially I thought that a lot of problems could be patched with an update, but having played for just a short time, the problems are too frequent it would be better to re-write the whole game. The Mechanics of the snooker seem ok and this has always been the only reason i kept coming back to the titles. Also there are no other snooker games on ps3 and It's a shame they couldn't get it right. We've waited 2 years for this.

Patching issue

on a further note from my last post
i dont think the game is patchable because the game(ps3) just runs
off the blu-ray disc and doesn't save any executable data to the hd.
the game saves a profile (gamesave) to the ps3 hd, but no actual executable information.
for this reason i doubt that the game can even be patched

I have Killzone 2, that runs just of the blu-ray disc, and has been patched several times now...
So blade, add more aiming options, including the arrows off on top-view, online disconnection issue etc..., and make this game what it should be in the first place !

actually i also have killzone 2 and that saves game data ( unlike wsc 09)
turn your ps3 on and goto XMB>GAME>game data utility
this is different to the saved data utility
if you look you will see i am right

Maybe u are right, but they promised to bring out a patch, as seen on the website http://www.bladeinteractive.com/
So lets hope for the best & more.
I've written the an email, and i think everyone should flood them with emails !

i thing blade are talking bs.
i may be wrong but the game just runs off the blu-ray disc and only uses the hd like a memory card
its the same sort of thing as a ps2 game.
the key to after sales support of a game is how the game uses hard-drive
if they havent considered this before releasing the game then it means
the game is unpatchable.
If I thought they could patch it I may consider buying the game again
but im not going to hold my breath
