Once I bought Wii-Ware snooker game called "Cue Sport".

It has ONLINE game and for 99%, you wont fine anyone playing online.

However, I disagree if online feature is not important ... because we can still have "small" online community ... from this forum (as an example)

Just to remind people about patches. Blade said it clearly here:

      http://www.thesnookerforum.com/board...2&postcount=16

Thank you for your feedback, it great to hear you are enjoying the game. Those are all very interesting points and as with all feedback we will take them into account for future versions of the game. Generally we only provide patchs to fix fundamental problems not to add features, but all of your suggestions will be added to our reference material for the design of future versions of the game.

True. This series has been going since what, 2003 and there are still some basic problems? Although the cushion sound and response in 2003 was better than now and the long pot sound was spot on! It's in the pool game, but not the snooker one for some reason. You know the sound I mean, that loud bang you get when you slam one in from long range on a full size table.

Unless i arranged to play someone from here then there was no one, i waited 40mins the other night and no one.

This is prob down to the complete lack of advertisment....anywhere, iv not seen adverts, magazines, no previews and no demo's of the game, i think Blade knew full well most snooker fans would buy it and as its pretty much exactly same game as one before it prob didnt cost much if anything to make lol. So they just took money and ran, there will be no patches as someone stated, all questions etc will be taken into account for a future release, its a poor do that Blade has treated the fans this way and shown snooker in this light

Agreed, they should done better than that ... promoting the game, etc.

But, I am not sure if snooker is a popular sport through out the world. I meant, yes, in UK, snooker is big.

Other countries? Not sure. I am not saying that there is no snooker activity except UK ... but probably not quite popular.

And from that, how many like to play computer/console game? ... even less.

I have friends here who like to play snooker and computer/console game, but when I ask them to buy WSC 2008 for Wii, they said "No, thanks. It's better to play in real table".

With all the above factors, expect to have small tiny online-community

Still, online play is an important feature which should be exists in a snooker game. Snooker game is all about playing "against" other player. It's main theme is not "solo" game like Zelda, Tomb Raider and such. That means, we should be able to find other (human) player for a match

How to make better online gaming for snooker? That should be obvious. Because the small and tiny community, the producer (Blade) should actively "trigger" the community to play online. For example: Weekly Tournament .... Ladder board ... Online rank ... etc.

Sad, that Blade does not have that ... for whatever reason (their market research? *lol*).

I might be wrong but i think all cue sports are massive in places like China etc maybe more so then the UK, but for what ever reason...the game wasnt released there.

Im not a football fan, i dont like the game, but when i go round to my friends i happily play Fifa or Pro Evo as it has the pick up and play ability which i think snooker is lacking yet they wont play ti any more as my friend played 5 frames and had around 3 shots i think......

I know its down as a 'Snooker and Pool Simulation' which is clearly isnt (false advertising?) but by making it such a steep learning curve its putting alot of people off buying it who might normally give it a try. If they stopped trying to be ultra realistic (which they fail at anyway) and maybe gave it a more arcadey feel then more people might pick it up.

Had a demo been released i for one wouldnt of bought it...but thats why they didnt release a demo

For those of you who don't follow much on the internet/gaming front, this guy has a disease known as fanboyism, it's a strange new phenomena where people feel the need to defend companies to the death, no cure has been found yet but the best thing to do is starve them of attention and they go away eventually
