  • So What Fixes

Would just like to enquire Blade Interactive. What the suppose patch will include
Seems to have gone a bit quiet on this.
Maybe a sticky might be in order with a list of supposed fixes.

Thank you for your feedback, it great to hear you are enjoying the game. Those are all very interesting points and as with all feedback we will take them into account for future versions of the game. Generally we only provide patchs to fix fundamental problems not to add features, but all of your suggestions will be added to our reference material for the design of future versions of the game.

Which means there prob not going to fix as much as people hope, prob just the online play with PS3.

Yeah, right! As if people didn't ask for everything for WSC Real 09 before it was even announced? People didn't ask for:

      Mouse controlled cueing?
      More work on ball physics
      More responsive cushions?

And did any of those appear in WSC Real 09? No.

Iv no idea what people did or didnt ask for to be in WSC 09. I can just go out what Blade said and from the sounds of it, they wont be patching even half as much as what people are hoping for, i do hope im wrong though

Even if you asked, there is no obligation for Blade to make it happen.

You can call them stupid for not fulfill your requests, but at the end it is up to you to buy their product or not.

You don't own Blade, so you can't control them.

The only thing you can do is stop buying their product ... until they produced the one that satisfy your need.

I can list a lot of requests and send to them (I have done this!), but yeah they don't implement it in 2009. Am I mad? Perhaps ... But what can I do? I don't buy it Simple ....

No, but I am positive people asked for these self same improvements for WSC 09, most likely after Blade said they'd consider improvements suggested. Can anyone clear this up? Did people ask for all of the above after the last game?

Back before World Championship Snooker 2004, Blade developed for Codemasters who published their earlier games.

Back then they had a codemasters forum for their snooker games. Myself and quite a few others at the time complained that there were not long matches or full length matches. We also complained that there wasn't a qualifying structure.

Blade then took both these suggestions to heart and I even received an email from Blade stating they were incorporating both of these following feedback.

Unfortunately, with regard to full length matches they have taken a step back as some of the tournaments (specifically the world championship) are not now full length (even qualifiers should be 19 frames and they have last 16 at 13 frames).

But they did listen at the time, so sometimes feedback really does make a difference.

The thing is ... why they dont implement this full length matches?

Because from programming point of view, it could be just a number ... if you know what I meant.

It will not add more complexity to the game-play code for sure.

Probably they are afriad they get sued because people got ill playing full length matches? Obviously yes, because there is no proper save game feature. So, people is forced to continuous play for I don't know how many hours.

So, I believe this is related ... the full length matches and ability to save the game.

They dont add save game, thats why they shorten the official number of frames ...

                Haha ...

It says '100% match length', so why isn't it, Blade? What's wrong with an option to play 100%/50%/25% or whatever? This is one of the things that would be very easy to incorporate into a patch.
