Took the plunge and bought it (PC version). I'm thoroughly enjoying it, I don't see what the main problem is with it. OK, some physics could do with work, but they're not gamebreakers.

I think its quite difficult for mainstream sites to review a sports game like this, looks like they're in no rush.

Most of the problems are not gamebreakers for me either, though the way balls react to fine cuts is close to being a gamebreaker in that it changes the way I approach almost every safety shot, compared to a real game. The incorrect player stance + cue tip position just looks sloppy in 2009.

But, like you, I love snooker and am still enjoying the game. The graphics are better than WSC07, but I played that on PS2 so it was in blocky vision

forgot my score, I'd also go with 7/10 for xbox360 version (feeling generous), leaving no doubt there is room for improvement, but at least the game exists...

Things like the cuts, cushion response and so on would've been sorted out in a patch if this was made by Creative Assembly.

If the save issue, and the length of match issues were fixed I would give it a 8.5/10. As the save issue is a massive bug bearer it goes down to a 3.5/10

PS3 version i give it a 5.5 mainly for blatant lack of effort from blade, clearly a dodgy port and the online doesn't work. Playable but way short of what it should be.

How much would you give it if you haven't got 2005 or 2007?

I dont have previous version on PS3, but have psp 2007 version.
I recently bought PS3 version and would give it 7/10 or about 75%
Its ok but should have been much better, especially when you see how good games like Tiger Woods 09 are, why could they not get snooker to this quality as it is a much easier game to recreate.
I went into a chemist and asked for a deodorant, the assistant said "ball, stick or aerosol", "No, I want it for under my arms!" was my reply.

I had never played any of the previous ones before 09 and i'd give it a 4/5 out of 10. But now having played one of the previous ones i would take that lower to a 3 maybe
