  • Topview Aiming Arrows

    Please Blade,
There MUST come a patch with the top-view aiming aid switched off.
For online play this is a must.
People would be forced to play a safety, instead of play a ridiculous shot.

Please answer to this thread !

Why not include an option to completely change the aiming aid to something that adds a little skill apart from 'line up arrows with pocket'?

Adding more options is good, but it could add more complexity.

How do you propose to launch an online play?

      Consider this:
      - Not all players are in the same playing skill level.
      - Not all players like to play in hard/est difficulty.

Will it be automatic match-making ala Mario Kart? Which we do not require to "create room/game" ... Just connect and wait for a match (like "Cue Club" on WiiWare).

If automatic match-making, how do we setup all that? Of course, before the match:
"Press (A) if you agree to disable top-view arrow".

If both not agree then no-match .... hmmm, considering the online community of this type of game is not that much ...

More, "Choose your skill (A) Expert [short arrow] (B) Normal (C) Easy" ...
Again, if both not agree then no-match ...

Or maybe you propose to use "Create room/game" mode for online play:
      Create game: Options:
      [x] Disable top-view
      [x] Expert skill level

Then wait to have a match. While new player can opt to either create game or join existing game. Player will "normally" choose a game that he likes for options wise.

If I am not an expert player, I would hesitate to join expert game ...

It is quite dilematic ... more options is good to satisfy broad range of requirements, but it also adds more complexity that could segment the players. And dont forget this game is no Mario Kart which has thousands regular online players!

I just think with the top-view, people take on shots that would never been taken on in real life.
Disabling top-view will force players to play safe instead of an outrageous & ridiculous shot.

It will enhance the simulation !

Yeah, but the top-players in the game take on the same ridiculous shots, so you cannot compare real life play with this.

Fairly easy to do, When in the waiting lobby just stick a letter next to the
host name then the player joining can see what options are enabled for the match.

I wouldn't mind seeing it in singleplayer as well, as long as the AI players also didn't attempt the ridiculous shots all the time.
