  • Snooker Plus Max

    Hi All.

I recently set about the task of achieving a maximum break on Snooker Plus (210). For those who don't know, 2 extra balls are present, orange, woth 8, spotted between blue and pink and purple, worth 10, spotted between blue and brown. I managed to achieve this break last nite by controlling my opponent (Stephen Hendry) with my controller and splitting the reds up using both players (admittadly its next to impossible and requires lots of thought and precise position, sometimes thinking 6 or more shots ahead to pot obstructing reds to clear paths to and from the purple but its doable). It was my 4th run too, was a great buzz to finally do it tho!

I realised this was the only realistic way to get the break as its almost impossible to split the pack after potting the purple due to its position, plus it only just pots in both corner pockets. I have several photos mostly for my own convenience, however if anyone wants to see some photos here's the link http://s784.photobucket.com/albums/yy125/breakman316/

I realise I'll probably get someone saying this isnt realistically possible, how did you do that etc, I've also achieved a 155, and am looking to achieve a 221 break (snooker plus max plus a free ball, like a 155), by using the purple ball as a snookering ball on all reds, potting a baulk colour as a free ball, then the extra purple then the 15 reds plus purples to make the 221 break.

I'm doing this to challenge myself and my knowledge to push to the limits of the game, and to keep motivated in offline play, I wish straight 14 to 1 continous pool was on tho! Does anyone know of a similar straight pool simulation? I'd love to have a go at beating Willie Mosconi's 526 record!

I'm also playing online regularly (now almost 6th, under breakman16), this is the only mode that challenges me due to the relatively poor AI I find, any comments are welcome.
