This game is pathetic, why do you bother at all?
It's incredible how they managed to get worse every version since WCS 2004 which was an almost perfect snooker simulator.
Screwing back while applying top spin? Give me a break.
Just give me a game with the gameplay of 2004 and graphics / arenas and character customization of the 2009.

I've spent 4 weeks trying to get into at tournement and I've found it's Impossible. the Computor cheats like hell you pot a striped ball in the pool and it says you potted the wrong ball when the computor pots a spot. So thats wrong. The computor in snooker puts a red then goes red, black, red, black and you lose as you need too many snookers to win.
I can't see any way to do this game I'd rate the gameplay as 4 out of 10.Thank you for your help

Hi, I've been playing this game for a month or so now and I think this is the best snooker game since the 2004 edition.
I'm finding it hard to achieve the high breaks though and my current highest break is just 76, but my positional play is definately improving the more I play this.
The best way to beat the computer players in WSC Real 09 is to play by the rules and don't go for any tricky long pots. Trouble with playing the high ranked computer players though, such as Ronnie O'Sullivan and Stephen Hendry, sometimes if there is a long pot on, you have to take the risk and go for it, otherwise the likes of Hendry and O'Sullivan will end up potting it and will often win the frame. Unless you can get the cue ball safe or you can safely pull off a snooker behind one of the balk colours. But against the big players, it's unadviseable to leave any pottable long reds if you can help it.
I try to open the reds as early in each frame as I can, by potting the blue. This is the best way to open all the reds and more often than not, you will find yourself on the black as well. Sometimes this method doesn't always work though and you end up losing position. It's just the luck of the draw. In the 2004 edition doing this was really easy, in this edition it's somewhat harder to pull off for some reason though.

Well, i am playing WSC Real 09 in championship mode since September. I discovered that playing with the aiming aid and positional indicator on is far too easy! I didn't loose any match uptil now with rarely losing a frame. Even beating Ronnie O'Sullivan and John Higgins was no problem. Not realistic if you ask me
Therefore i am going to start all over, but this time at least with the positional indicator off. On a real snooker table you also can't see where your cue ball will finish. You will have to improve it by practising.
The aiming aid i will leave it on, cause otherwise it will be hardly impossible to pot a ball. It's a pitty you can't choose the difficulty level of the aiming aid like in the Codemasters editions (easy, normal or hard). I hope Blade will change that in future versions.
Also the possibility of a overhead view of the table by using the Y-button (xbox360) or square button (ps3) is rather silly. And if you would want to use it then at least the aiming aid and positional indicator should be invisible.
So by doing this it should be more a challenge to win a game, at least against the top players. And that's more realistic instead of always winning with 5-0, 8-1, 7-0 etc... :snooker:Last edited by WendyV; 1 December 2009, 08:09 PM.
