Oh and one more thing I just remembered...

I know it's kinda a little bit cheating but I have found that if I'm getting my ass whooped because I've missed something stupidly easy and I know that I can't win the frame because of the points deficit, I very quickly quit the frame before the computer beats me and then go to the next match option and I'm back in the game at the last saved point - the beginning of the frame I just quit! Hence the frame or even the match can be replayed over and over without actually losing out on the chance of winning that particular tournament!

    Happy playing!!! :snooker:

I did it a different way to you I went straight into the season and even now I still can't be bothered in doing all the practice shots, never get a chance to.

I don't think I've quit a game neither, just finished playing so much and turned my console off.

Each to their own..but you're more than welcome to keep posting on this thread, welcome to the snooker forum.

My brother does that sometimes but personally ifI'm going to make it to Number 1 in the world I'd rather do it on merit. Mind you I managed to qualify for my first tournament on 07 last night it may only be the China open but I was delighted because I'd never qualified for any tournaments on 07. I think I need to improve my spin and cue power a bit on mine because some of my shots are finishing a little short and I think it'll help my break off too because they have a tendency to go wrong sometimes at the moment

Just thought I would share my experiences of this game with everyone - maybe it will be of some help!

Don't know if any of you have already done this but forget the actual tournament play for a while and take some time out to complete ALL of the practise sections of the game - ie the coaching, the challenges AND the trick shots. There are approx 120 individual shots to complete altogether and you get a skill point for every one completed. I added these points equally to the potting and position sections of my skills record.

I managed to do all of them in one night when I first got the game and found that when you come to play tournament games, your aiming aid arrows have nearly doubled in length and your circular position shadow has shrunk to half it's size - meaning that as long as the shot you are taking is a ball that is in the same half of the table as your cue ball, your arrows will be touching or nearly touching the desired pocket and the position shadow is very accurate!

Also long pots from the baulk cushion on reds that are around the black suddenly become easily pottable!

And then if all else fails... I find that tilting your head so that your eyes are at the same angle as the aiming arrows really helps in deciding whether they are actually pointing at the pocket or not!!!

Hopefully this helps a bit??? :snooker:

I just generally draw an imaginary line from the end of the arrows to the pocket to see if it's in line really it's easier and it works for me when I'm playing

I don't know whether it's the best or not because it's a matter of opinion but it certainly is my favourite of the Blade incarnations mainly because it's the easiest to line up and control the shots the only negative thing about it is you don't have the positional predictor on 05 which are on 07 and 09 which do at times make it difficult to know where the cue ball will finish but once you've learnt the speed of the table and you read the arrows accurately enough then generally you casn predict more or less where it might land so it's not necessarily needed there like I think it is on 07m and 09 as I findit diufficult to see what the arrows are showing me sometimes so I do have a tendency to rely on the predictor there.

Unfortunately my laptop has a s**t graphics card so it won't work, I only use my internet for this forum, another forum, odd time facebook, emailing relatives, messanger sometimes to catch up with friends, I don't like the idea of google and sniffing up on people or anything.
