  • Skill Points Crack for WCS 09 PC Version

I've developed a cheat for giving a player a very large amount of available skill points - 65535 to be precise.

Takes about 5 minutes work, and is fairly easy to do. Only works on PC version.

If anyone is interested, I can post it.

I don't see why you're getting so fired up, it sounds alot more like a "trainer" than an actual game "crack".

Am I missing something here? Unless it works in online mode, in which case it's probably best you keep it to yourself.

I think posting actual cheat codes is legal, as gaming magazines print cheat codes for PS3 and Xbox 360 games every month. Though I never cheat in my games, especially as nowadays, if you use any cheats it disables all of the achievements/trophies the game has when your gamer profile signs in to Xbox Live or Playstation Network. As a big fan of gamerscore and PSN trophies, I wouldn't even consider taking the risk of putting in a cheat code.

Besides which, cheating in games only serves to ruin the overall enjoyment the game has to offer. It ruins the way the game is meant to be played. Also, I'd rather not cheat as I'm paying over £30 for the game so I really want to make the most of it

Couldn't agree more to be fair on this game especially just do it yourself with time and patience but if it was GTA IV because thats just for fun and messing around you know...

Why would you want to do that? It takes the fun out of playing the game. You earn your skill points by winning games/tournaments. It may give you a short cut, but i would never even consider using it otherwise what is the point in buying the game in the first place?

I don't play often and it took me around 6 months to win the world title which in turn opens the top players, but I got far more fun doing it that way then getting any kind of help other than my own skill which gives me more satisfaction.

Look back at page 1 and the posters reply to the obvious displeasure from some other posters. After been advised that posting illegal cracks could get him into trouble he agreed to keep it to himself.

I had to reply to this as i'm curious as to why you are talking about the legality of what the OP says he has done? Where does it say 'crack' ?

'Cracking' a computer program these days tends to refer to reverse engineering the software and patching the code to curcumvent certain anti-piracy/copy systems that are built in, making a game work without the CD in the drive is an example, bypassing a products online activation is another.

Cheat codes are 'features' that are built into games by developers either for deliberate cheat/entertainment use, or as part of the developer tools used when testing the game.

Neither of these are anything to do with what the OP has done. I expect he has simply edited the saved game file (after figuring out which bits in the file store skill points) and just changed them.

My point is, I don't reckon that is illegal. I'd say he owns that file and he has every right to modify it.
