Hi I wonder if someone can offer me some guidance. Our league still plays EPA old rules, and had a situation last night that caused uproar.!
Following a foul, the player with ball in hand, aligned the cue ball with the shaft of the cue. The Ref called foul.
I have never seen this called before, and in world rules, under the section playing from baulk, it clearly states that this is allowed. However there is no definition in EPA old rules.
The nearest there is the following under fouls - K.Striking the cue ball with any part of the cue other than the tip.
My view is aligning the cue ball with the shaft is not "Striking" Can anyone else give me their thoughts
Regards Charlie
