Pool table cloth

Hi all, I found an old thread (that I actually contributed to) from about 5 years ago.
I’m trying to find out if Strachan 6811 is still regarded as one of the best options for a pool table.
It’s used only once or twice a month so wear isn’t a problem. I basically want the best quality cloth I can get. I also quite like the look of the grey cloth the IPA use but I’m not sure what that is?

The Strachan 861 is the same thing as the Simonis 861, so search for both and you might get a better price.

It's a napless cloth, so quite different to the Strachan 6811

Just read up and it says Strachan 861 is mainly used for 9 ball tables
if it is like normal 9 ball tables I’ve played on I think it will be way too fast for an English eight ball table?

by their website this is the cloth you asked what they were using
it will test your cue ball control

I totally agree Dean but I don’t believe my eyes lol.
I think I’ll go for the Hainsworth match cloth, I’m not good enough for playing on a cloth with no nap!

I think I’ve made a mistake!
It was the cloth the EPA use I liked not the IPA!
It appears to be Strachan Superfine, has anyone played on this cloth at all?
