It does make sense to buy a slimmer extension but i'm not sure that JP does one as slim as yours Mike ........i was looking for an excuse to buy another cue case !
It would be nice to have one section (where the cue rests ) deeper than the other so that the cue rests on the chalk without falling out when the case is undone upright .
Most cases the sections seem to be the same depth and the cue falls out when opened in the upright position , so you have to lay it flat to take your cue out .
