I think its fitting to post this here for reasons which will become obvious but I attended my cousin Craigs funeral on Friday. He was 31 and died from an accidental heroin overdose and was found the next day by his sister. Apparantly he had been clean for 9 months and sadly he started again and it was a big shock to the system. His 'problem' was mentioned in church. It started when he was 18 and since then it was up and down but he always held down a job and worked hard. Especially when he became a father. I hadn't seen him for years and am really angry with myself for missing his sisters wedding 2 years ago because it was a great night with Craig and his brothers naturally lavishing the occasion. It could easily be 10 years since I last saw him but he spent many Christmases with my family and when we were the age where aunties and uncles gave us Christmas presants we would travel up to Bolton and return with a car boot full of gifts. God I miss that age

There was a huge turn out with many of Craig and his brothers friends there and Its nice to see he was so popular. I wont go on anymore about it but funerals are strange occasions filled with so many emotions. I spent Saturday in a daze and wished I had stayed the night because we had to leave at 7pm to get home for hungry dogs. I have so many family in Bolton but hardly ever visit anymore and Friday made me want to change that. All of my mums brothers are brilliant company with laughter being priority all of the time as is the norm for most Boltonians.

The point is every moment is special and it needs to be used wisely before its too late. In times of trouble or mourning friends and family along with time are what gets you through.

The reponse to this post shows just how valued you are Nina and I hope its not long before you are around here again because its not the same without you.

Very sorry to see this, Nina. I hope things get better very soon or, hopefully, have got better already, and that you will be back soon!
