  • MW cue swap-shop?

just testing the water really, but would anyone be interestet in Mike Wooldridge cue swap? I've got a MW custom (2007 cc06), ash shaft, ebony butt, with ebony splices at the bottom, 4 burr splices above, with dark green vaneers either side.

specs are: 58.5", 19oz, 29.5mm butt, 9.75mm tip (currently with very slightly mushroomed talisman pro-soft tip).

mint cond, only thinking about selling as i've gotten used to a different spec with my pool cue, and want something closer to that.

So I'm after another MW custom ideally, but closer to a pool cue spec (57", 28mm butt, 8.75mm tip).

Tell you what I got a Jimmy White pool cue right here, I will get mike to put one of his badges on it for me and i'll swap with you

This is a good idea but can you really take the chance of sending a £500 cue off to someone you don't really know in the hope that they will send one back?

In my opinion you should do this one of two ways either meet in person and swap or get a trusted middle man where both of you would send your cues and they would send them back out to you.

I have a Mike Wooldridge custom cc-04 it's the same length as yours just the tip is 9.5mm and weight is 18oz. I would only be willing to swap though if your cue was REALLY special.

Why don't you sell the cue? or better still ask Wooldridge to make the required alterations.

Send it to Mike mate. You know the cue. He would do a great job for you and would be like getting a new cue back.

dont really want to sell it, and the missus sais i cant buy another one... so a swap is the compromise. as i said, only really testing the waters at the moment.

tempted, but its pretty much my 2nd cue these days so would rather not spend a load more money on it.
