Deepscrew So you decided on the C-brand then! What was it that made your mind up? Were they both the same spec? Did you post any details of the C-brand? Wouldn't mind a look.

That Mastercraft is a beaut. Drop me a pm if you can giving an idea how much you're after for it, and I'll see if I can persuade the mrs it IS an investment, and I really do want it for xmas!
If you want to play the pink, but you're hampered by the red, you could always try to play the brown!

Not looking to question your decision or anything but are you sure after 10 hours that you know that this cue isn't for you?

I would say give both cues at least a month of play, at least 30 hours or so with both because I seriously would doubt that after 10 hours, and with a new tip as well, that you can properly guage whether the cue is right for you.
I'd hate for you to sell it and regret it a few weeks or months later with it being in the back of your mind did you give it enough of a chance.

I'm having two cues made at the moment, both to near enough identical spec purely as a back up choice. However I haven't any plans to sell the one that isn't as suitable as the other. I'll keep both for at least 3-4 months and then make a decision.

Im not one for taking my time over things! Ive been playing really well with my other cue and this new one, however lovely cue it is, is just confusing me. I wasnt planning to buy the unclevit but just jad to when i saw it, had i not i would be loving the Mastercraft for sure. I just want to concentrate on my game with one cue and the sooner i dont have the temptation of switching the better.

Just wait a few months for a 'i wish i hadnt sold my mastercraft....'' thread.

Ha, so the c brand gets the win...

Nice one bud, sure this MC won't be around long...

RE; cuemans post.. 10 hrs with a cue isnt enough you feel?

Well IME you can pretty much tell if the cue feels right after a few shots, i tried too perservere once or twice with cues that never quite feel right from the off. and after months and months of playing still never felt right.

If a cue don't feel right from the off, it never will be. spesh if you have been playing for many years etc. obviously diff with newer players that could poss get on with a bigger range of specs, but not the case atall for most players. IMO of course.

IMO, you can tell if a cue is 'right' in the first few shots.

I think you can tell if a cue feels right more or less straight away if it feels 'comfy' straight away it usually is. wasting time with trying to get on with a cue that don't quite feel 'right' for weeks/months doesnt do ya any favours really.

I've tried adapting to cues that don't feel right from the off and it just don't work. (for me atleast)..

(please excuse if the post is a bit all over the place, my head a bit fried from a weekend in Amsterdam and still not thinking quite straight yet)

Cally Agree with your comments. You get used to certain things and its a problem to try and change. I played with Maple for nearly 30 years and thought I'd try Ash as most of the top pros played with ash. I'm pretty sure I could have adjusted to ash given time but what would have been the point? Stick with what you're used to and concentrate on technique is what I'd recommend.

And when you say Butt Heavy, what is the balance point?
