Hi Matty cheers for the reply m8 but too expensive for me as at the end of the day its only a Machine Spliced Joe Davis which isnt Rare at all really as many been on eBay and recent one with Nice Shaft £68 yeah it was 57.25" which is perfect for most and me...lol

By the Time I pay to get it Alterd it would be approx £100/£120 or more which would make it a very expensive Machine Spliced Cue.

Good Luck with the Sale m8.

            Gaz.

no probs mate, best leaving to someone after it in original state really, a cue this age shouldnt be butchered. plus english ash is no longer used in cues made in U.K now. north american is better sourced, which makes even more rarer

Yeap there known to be great playing cues, just right firmness in shaft. shame mine had 31mm butt, and felt bit light for me. ive learnt my lesson in past altering old cues. dont do it lol

As I said before Matty I agree never Alter a "Rare Old Cue" Especially if you wanna Sell it. If your gonna keep it for rest of your life then the Value doesnt matter really does it as you dont wanna sell anyway.

The thing is this Joe Davis you had isnt rare at all and isnt Worth alot as you know so wouldnt matter if I or anybody else alterd it really.

well i havent seen many of these black plates around, and since its a joe davis special, makes it rarer than the run of the mill 147 and 146 break cues. plus its age, ya dont go around chopping these cues up
