  • eBay FOR SALE : Powerglide Connoisseur (Same model as hendry)

    My beautiful powerglide connoisseur has to go as i am moving and cant take it with me. Im sorry to see it go. As rare as hens teeth but what has to be done . . . . specs are 58" 18oz and 9.5mm with maple shaft. PM me if you are interested. Have offered it to certain members first as they have asked me to contact them if i ever sell it.

    nice cue bud but in the last 2 pics the cue look's more like ash too me !
    Not played for 3 years and itching for a game....11-3-2017.

        Thing is all of these later hendry cues all had very light ash ! never seen another maple one yet...and in the last pic it is 100% ash.

          I hear ya on the later ash models being 'light' ash warren, but this cue is the earlier model and has a different badge to the later ones...

          Although i agree it looks ash in the last pic..

          Any decent pics of the shaft dave?

            Yep id love to see some more pics of the shaft Dave if possible, this is one of the 70s earlier badged ones and as far as i know these were maple. The mid 80s to early 01 models was described by Powerglide as White Ash. This does look a bit like white ash in the last 2pix tho ive seen plenty of older maple cues of different brands over the years with slight grain patterns like these 2pix.

              BUMP! anyone interested guys????????? Will put up some pics of shaft. Looks and plays like Maple to me . . . but , if anyone can for sure say that its white ash im happy to be proven wrong.

                    is it dead straight? if so I would offer £150 for it ,used to have one over 30 years ago. also did I see a socket in the butt for an extension? cheers JohnWard Let me know soon

                        I think the hole in the butt is where there used to be a rubber protector to stop the cue getting damaged.
                        I've got a Connoisseur but unlike some its got a red and metal name plate. The cue is ash but its very light in colour.
