I meant it might not get asked for, but I'm sure the appropriate CITIES cert is required. I agree they might not be discovered, but most people and definitely business like to comply with the law!

I agree though they aren't going to look at ages of boxes or apparent age of the item, if it does not have the correct paperwork it'll be destroyed. The prices these things sell for, it would definitely be a concern of mine if I were exporting especially outside the EU.

        They sold £2300.

My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
        I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

BALLS SOLD WITHIN TWO MINUTES OF PLACING THEM ON TSF

I have a set of three Genuine pre 1947 Ivory Billiard balls in case for just £170 if anyone is interested in collectable Billiards and snooker memorabilia .
              http://gclbilliards.com/for-sale-thr...e-in-wood-box/
Be very careful with the Faux Ivory advertised on ebay , some of those balls are old cracking Bonzaline type , often confused for ivory , the way to tell is to look for the grain or cross hatch graining at the poles of each ball .
If you buy Faux ivory off ebay and it turns out to be Cracked or crazing Bonzaline Balls then you will have no comeback as it is sold as Faux which in French means not real ivory .
A lot of Rip off sellers know the balls are not ivory but because of the advertising rules of ebay Ivory cannot be advertised yet Faux ivory ad ox bone balls can ?
The three balls in my photo can clearly be seen to have the cross hatch grain that genuine ivory balls have ,these balls are circa 1900 in date so very legal to sell within the UK without certification as Billiard collectables. BALLS NOW SOLD !

BUT SCOREBOARD IS STILL FOR SALE !

I also still have the large Life pool board for sale as guy who bought the rules and said he was coming back for the board has not shown up and I am not chasing . I have also had two enquiries but one thinks he is getting it for a song , that is not going to be the case , I am fair with my value's when you see what others are asking and Getting for these type of antique collectables .
