      there are a number of factors including the position of the screws the layout of the writing the shape of the badge etc. but i find the easiest method is to speak to the top few experts in the field and get them to confirm it for me! tony ions / andy hunter are normally willing to help folks.

            had a few hits last night - was stiffer than you would expect for an old cue but its not too bad. a bit rear weighted at 15.7" from the butt but very responsive. still not as good to play with as a modern cue though to be honest with you. so far in spite of having owned hundreds, maybe even thousends, of old cues i have never come across one that plays aswell as a new one from a top maker. my quest contines........

                              If there are many giving 1000pounds what are you gonna do?
