Cleaning snooker balls ultrasonically?

Has anyone heard of cleaning aramith's (or any other snooker balls) with an ultra sonic cleaner?

Someone suggested it to me, although they know nothing about the game so i thought i'd ask on here.

You'd need a very big ultrasonic cleaner and I don't really see the point but in theory I wouldn't think it would Harm them... Take about an hour doing it 4 balls at a time in our one at work :P

Would destroy them, try searching you tube for home made ball cleaners, looks quite easy to put one together.

Yes, they do seem a bit on the small side now you mention it.
