Heard a story in the club recently, is it true that some people put their tip in the microwave oven before glueing it on? This procedure would give you a better tip? Your opinion please about this
I have never herd of this. Sounds very odd but the only advantage I can think of that it would give you would be softness. By microwaving it it would warm it and making it softer? Hmmm.. Good luck finding an answer!

How long do you cook it for? Should you add any sauce?
Microwaving works well but, personally, I prefer to baste my tip in egg yolk and leave to mature in the fridge for 6-8 weeks. A useful tip: goose eggs work better than duck eggs, especially if you play a lot of shots with reverse left-hand side.

I always put it in the blender before my match. It sharpens the cue and tip enormously. After a drive with my car to the snooker hall, I stick it in the exhaust pipe to heat it up, getting the tip smooth. After entering the hall, I buy a pint of lager and dip the cue into it, to get it in a relaxed mood. Succes guaranteed!
